Loving and kind dog sitter
I've taken care of dogs since I was in middle school. My family dog is 17 years old now so I also have experience working with senior dogs. I live in a great neighborhood with many dog parks and my apartment complex has a dog run behind it. I have also trained and foster puppies before so I am familiar with positive behavioral reinforcement and do not believe in punishing dogs. I have worked in mental health for over 10 years as a therapist so I also have an amble amount of patience.

Poppy’s stay with Kirstin was great! I received lots of cute photos of their daily adventures while I was away!
Kirstin was great with Poppy! She was super patient and sweet with Poppy as it was her first weekend staying overnight with a sitter. Kirstin kept up with her high energy and I received plenty of photos and videos. I definitely recommend Kirstin!
Kirstin watched our dog on short notice after another sitter had to cancel. She was so great! Our dog was recovering from being sick and Kirstin kept us updated and our dog taken care of. Piper enjoyed herself all weekend and Kirstin took great care of the house as well. We won’t hesitate to have Kirstin sit for us again in the future!
Kirstin was a great sitter for my 5 month old puppy! Poppy is full of energy and teething and Kirstin kept her busy and tired her out. Kirstin accommodated a last minute doggy daycare request and was very communicative and shared photos and videos. I highly recommend Kirstin!
I highly recommend Kirstin! She used to watch my pup several days a week and was very attentive and caring towards him. She kept me updated with pictures and was always flexible with my schedule. I felt at ease knowing my dog was so well cared for!
I have had the honor of having Kirstin as a dog sitter for the last two years. She provided care for my 16 year old little man Cody during the last months of his life. She currently provides care for my sassy little resuce pup, Harley, who is reactive and has separation anxiety. She also sitted for me when I had each of my foster dogs. She is kind, patient, flexible and able to give each dog what they need. I trust her implicitly with my dog and in my home. I would recommend her 100 times over. <3

Schedule
Mondays and Fridays I work remotely so I am available for mid-day potty breaks on top of offering afternoon/evening/overnight care. I also have some flexibility to work remotely other days as well. My typical schedule is as below: Mondays: Available any time (working remotely) Tuesdays: Available after 5 pm Wednesdays: Available after 5 pm Thursdays: Available after 7 pm Fridays: Available any time (working remotely) Saturdays: Available anytime Sundays: Available anytime Do you have specific time requests, let's chat and find a way to work together!

Safety, trust & environment
I do not have any dogs in my apartment but there are many friendly dogs in the neighborhood I've observed. I love dogs and always take my job of dog sitting seriously. Dogs deserve to be taken care of the right way! I know safe places to go for walks in my neighborhood, I am very vigilant to not let dogs put anything harmful in their mouths, and I ensure my apartment is very dog safe.
A typical day
I LOVE spending time with the dogs that I care for. I will always meet the dog where they are at. If they love cuddles, I'm all about that. If they are reactive and prefer not to be pet, I'll admire them from a comfortable distance from them. I'm a very active person and greatly enjoy getting outside and going for walks but if the dog does not enjoy walks or is a senior dog, I have researched the benefits of indoor dog enrichment activities and have many of these in my back pocket at all times. A happy dog is a happy Kirstin!
