Gestalt (noun): the sum of many parts and the way those parts interact. My gestalt, or holistic, dog training approach takes into consideration the whole animal; their needs, their preferences and their environment. Using this holistic approach, I can find solutions to behaviours while respecting the whole dog.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog’s safety and emotional well-being is my top priority. I use a combination of positive reinforcement, enrichment and teaching loose-leash walking skills to achieve this. House sitting: My own dog will come with me for overnight stays; she is spayed, up-to-date on shots, and highly sociable with other animals.

Kirstin is fantastic. She was the first dog walker we had after bringing my rescue dog home, and she was such a huge help with leash manners, attention redirection, helping her to get comfortable with nail trims, in addition to all the walks. We are bummed that she is moving and can’t continue with us, but I know she will be making a difference for all the other pets and pet parents she meets in her new location. I have flexible availability throughout the work-week and can provide drop in services on evenings and weekends. For additional flexibility, ask me about my “Group Walk” program.
