I’m an active, outdoorsy animal lover with years of firsthand experience caring for dogs, including six years with two large dogs of my own. I’ve also lived with and helped care for my parents’ dogs and, more recently, two large dogs in a previous household. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, including large and giant breeds, as well as puppies. I’m also insured and bonded. To me, pet care is about much more than feeding and walking. I want your pet to feel safe, loved, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. Having had dogs of my own, I understand how much trust it takes to leave an animal you love in someone else’s hands. I enjoy following each pet’s normal routine closely and giving them the attention, affection, exercise, and companionship they’re used to. I’ll care for your pet with the same thoughtfulness and love I would want for my own.

I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine and your instructions closely so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I enjoy spending time with pets and making sure their needs are fully met, whether that means walks, meals, playtime, crate time, or letting your dog out in the yard as needed. I’ll spend time outside with them rather than simply opening the door and leaving them alone. If your pet is allowed on furniture or sleeps in a certain spot, I’m happy to follow the same household rules you use. My goal is to keep things familiar, safe, and low-stress while giving your pet plenty of attention and companionship. In addition to following your pet’s routine and safety instructions closely, I carry independent pet-care liability insurance and bonding for added peace of mind.

Kirsten assisted with watching my 2 nanny pit bulls while I was out of town. While I know they're the sweetest ever, a lot of people get nervous or have straight up turned me down when it comes to hitting someone to help watch them. Kirsten came in cool as a cucumber, not phased at all, and seemed instantly comfortable. I've utilized her services just about a handful of times, and plan to even moreso in the future
I have consistently worked with Kirsten and animals for the better part of 15 years. I have seen her with small dogs, large dogs, timid cats and dogs, overly confident or difficult cats and dogs, older animals with lower energy, and young animals with more hyper energy. She always excels and creates a bond of peace and trust. Kirsten is professional, and one of the most down to earth people I've had the pleasure to meet and work with over the years. I've trusted most than 10 of my own animals in her care over the years. One day I received a tired and thirsty husky from the side of the road, but I needed to go to work. Kirsten dropped her plans and drove straight over to be there to help this dog, as well as myself. My cat is very timid and typically hides under furniture with people outside of our family, and Kirsten had her crawling into her lap, falling asleep in her arms. If my cat trusts someone, I trust them too haha Anyone who Kirsten has the privilege of helping with their animals, I guarantee, they will feel that the privilege was actually all theirs, 100%
I can wholeheartedly testify that Kirsten is a compassionate and dedicated pet caregiver! She has experience and does well with pets of all sizes, but I believe she excels with larger dog breeds that other people may be afraid of. Personally, she has cared for my cat, and she always goes out of her way to treat my cat like the Queen she is!!
Kirsten is a lover of animals. She is so dedicated to making sure all their needs are met and also keeping them safe. I remember being so surprised watching her pick up other dogs’ poop in a fenced in apartment dog park area before allowing the dog she had to roam free to keep her dog safe and clean. When caring for my dog, Kirsten went the extra mile to make sure my dog was comfortable, doing things that I wouldn’t have even thought of. Kirsten is a hard worker and super sweet too!! :)

Schedule
I work full-time Monday through Friday, so weekday pet care fits around my work schedule. I usually need to be at work by 8:00 AM and am off by 5-5:15 PM. My ability to get away during lunch varies and is not guaranteed. My overnight shows as unavailable Tuesdays — however, Tuesday may be possible depending on my work schedule. Please message me if you’re interested and I’ll be happy to see if I can make it work. For drop-in visits and dog walks, my profile lists availability for up to two visits per day. On weekends, I can often accommodate more than two visits or walks per day. On weekdays, visits and walks are available after work, with evening appointments beginning by 6:00 PM. My schedule can vary, so if the timing you need doesn’t appear to match my listed availability, feel free to reach out. I’m happy to check my schedule and see what’s possible. My weekends are especially flexible, giving me more availability for walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays without the weekday workday constraints. I’m also happy to consider last-minute bookings when my schedule allows.
