A Zen Retreat for Dogs
We are a couple of dog lovers and experienced caretakers with three dogs of our own. We actually met on Rover many years ago! We are committed to offering a level of care and quality that puts you and your pup at total ease. Our #1 goal is to create a peaceful, safe, happy environment for your dog. We are attuned to how dogs respond to energy and emotions, and we remain calm and patient with all animals under our care.

Excellent!! Kristen & Steven gave our little shitzu so much care and love. They sent pictures and touched base with us regularly. We were very nervous about leaving her anywhere and we now can go on trips since we found the best sitter’s in Cookeville . Already planning her next stay .she’s never been around dogs and their own dogs also were so gentle and kind tords her . I can’t say enough great things about the way they treated our pup !! We could not have had a better experience!! Thank you again Kristen and Steven . And Biscuit is missing you all .
Kirsten is an excellent caretaker for her dogs. She has cared for them for years and they live wonderful lives. She has only shown love for all pets, but especially dogs. I would consider Kirsten first before anyone else to watch over my pets.
Well I'll say Kirsten has this unique blend of professionalism and magical likeability about her, and my doggos definitely agree. Tails just flail around with enthusiasm when they see her haha. Knowing my dogs get the engagement they need and a safe place to enjoy themselves is such a comfort. Her communication gets a thumbs up as well. Thank you!!

Schedule
Pet care is central to our daily routine. One or both of us will almost always be home while your pet stays with us. Each day centers around creating a positive experience for your dog, with a healthy mix of activity and relaxation.

Safety, trust & environment
Our home is a peaceful place for dogs to be themselves. Kirsten is a yoga teacher, and Steven is a massage therapist, so together we are very good at creating a calm environment! Our three-story house offers plenty of space to sprawl. The fenced yard is big enough for dogs to zoom to their hearts' content. The outdoor deck is a perfect place to watch birds and squirrels. Your dog will feel like they've stepped into a Bob Ross painting! Our dogs would love to play with yours, but if you prefer no contact with our dogs, we can offer private living quarters. All dogs are given free range of the house unless private quarters are requested. You can rest assured knowing your baby is living their best life on their doggy retreat, so you can be present and enjoy your own travels.
Pets
A typical day
A typical day includes morning and evening meals with a daytime walk. We customize each day to the needs of your dog. Additional walks, indoor/outdoor playtime, cuddles, and restful crate time are all options to sprinkle throughout the day. Sometimes Kirsten treats the dogs to a luxurious bedtime sound bath with singing bowls, while Steven gives calming doggy massages, for the complete wellness retreat experience!

- Please tell us if you'd like private quarters for your dog's stay. This means your dog will board in our clean, spacious, walk-out basement with a dedicated entrance. If private quarters are requested, your dog will not interact with our dogs (or any other dogs under our care) for the duration of their visit. They will still receive plenty of love and attention!
