Pet care experience

Stay at home mom, animal lover!

Besides growing up with dogs, I've been a Rover sitter now since 2017. I've cared for the widest range of pups (and cats!)...many different sizes, personalities,& needs-I'm confident I can care for your fur babe(s),too! I'm available any day of the week, almost any time-very flexible with meet&greets as well. I homeschool my kids (we have 4) and have a very open schedule to fit in drop in visits, and of course boarding at our home! My schedule blesses me with being able to provide near-constant care. So many pups get anxious when missing their family, so I think my schedule is perfect for providing a little extra comfort &companionship during the transition of an overnight stay. Our whole household will love your pets as our own and make sure they are well cared for! My husband & I have loved giving our kids the opportunity to be around plenty of different animals. It's been so fun for them to meet so many puppies & it's great to teach them how to care for them as well. Kids are natural experts at giving plenty of attention and love so your pup will make some new best friends when they visit! While I don't have a fenced in yard (not allowed in our neighborhood...HOA rule) I'm comfortable with taking pups out on a leash, and we have a lead out front as well! We have a deck with a gate & a secure balcony upstairs so pups can enjoy some untethered outdoor time, too. So we make it work just fine without a fence! I can't wait to hear from you!

Kirsten kept me up to date with Pluto and provided plenty of pictures. I highly recommend Kirsten and will definitely use her again, if she is available. She is very nice and her family welcomed Pluto into their home with open arms.

Schedule

I have a very flexible schedule as a stay at home mom. This works great for the pups staying over as they of course typically prefer company ♡ This means I'm also available for multiple check ins a day if needed. Check ins are of course a great service for longer days out or for puppies who can't wait a full work day to be let out, but sometimes it works best if you are only needing care for a couple of days and you have a very anxious pup who would really rather not leave the comfort of their home, so don't hesitate to reach out about all of the options available!

Safety, trust & environment

Health & safety are top priorities! My kids have been taught how to be safe around & kind to animals, we offer a loving enviornment to fill in for you until you return. Also as far as safety goes, don't let the unfenced yard aspect cause worry, outdoor secured leads have been a huge success here!

A typical day

We have a nice neighborhood for taking walks ! Our kids get a kick out of playing catch & running around with all our doggy friends.

"Is your dog okay with kids?" and "How does your dog do with other dogs?" are my top two questions for my clients. I have a crew of little ones as mentioned and I also often book up quickly and it is common for me to have more than one pup over at a time :) Also let me know their general likes/dislikes, any special routines, & tendencies so I can make them feel at home and keep them safe! Some other common questions I might have for you- Where does your pup like to sleep? Is there a favorite toy you could send? Is your dog safe being unattended on an outside lead? Do they use a kennel? Does your dog get food aggressive around others? Counter surfer or chewer?
