Hello! My name is Kirk, and am a lifelong animal lover, experienced dog walker & pet sitter, trusted families throughout San Diego and North County. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet like family, you’ve come to the right place. I grew up with Black Labs and multiple cats as a child and have been around dogs, cats and other pets my entire life. As an adult I’ve had six dogs and three cats of my own ranging from large, medium, and small breeds, which has given me a great understanding of different temperaments, energy levels, and care needs. About ten years ago I began pet sitting for friends and family, and over the past 6–8 years I’ve regularly cared for walked and pet sit for dogs and cats throughout the year. I’ve worked with playful high-energy dogs who need long walks, older pets who need patience and gentle care, and cats who appreciate a calm and attentive presence. I pride myself on being an attentive, dependable, and loving pet caregiver. When your pet is with me they receive extra attention, extra love, and extra care. I’m very mindful of safety, routines, and making sure each animal feels comfortable and secure. Whether that means walks, playtime, companionship, or simply being a calm and reassuring presence, I make sure your pet feels happy and well cared for. I also have many personal references here in San Diego from families whose pets I’ve cared for over the years, and I’m always happy to provide them. For me, this isn’t just a side job, I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, loved, and relaxed while you’re away. When caring for your pet, my goal is to make the experience calm, safe, and enjoyable for them while giving you peace of mind while you're away. Every pet has their own personality and routine, and I do my best to follow the schedule and preferences you provide so your pet feels comfortable and secure. A typical visit or walk begins with a quick check-in to make sure your pet is happy, healthy, and relaxed. For dogs, this usually means a walk that matches their energy level, whether that’s a fun, active outing or a slower stroll around the neighborhood. After the walk, I make sure they have fresh water, settle them comfortably, and spend a little extra time giving attention or play if they enjoy it. For cats, visits include feeding, refreshing water, litter box care, and spending time with them in whatever way they prefer—some cats love playtime and attention, while others simply appreciate quiet companionship. I keep things clean, organized, and respectful of your home while I’m there. I also send updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and feel confident they’re being well cared for. Above all, you can expect reliability, patience, and genuine care. I treat every pet as if they were my own and aim to make each visit positive, safe, and comforting for them.

Kirk stepped in to help when I was dog sitting for my sister’s dogs and quickly became the real MVP. He truly has a gift with animals. What started as a little assistance turned into him taking over, because he’s honestly a dog whisperer. He has a genuine love for dogs, animals, and people, and it shows in everything he does. I watched him work with the dogs who were fearful of other dogs and people, and the transformation was incredible. During the day I’m available for dog walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting, whether your pet needs a quick check-in, a longer walk, feeding, or some companionship while you're away. I’m happy to work with your pet’s normal routine so they stay comfortable and relaxed. For dogs, walks are tailored to their energy level, some enjoy a brisk walk and exercise, while others prefer a slower, more relaxed stroll. For cats, visits include feeding, fresh water, litter box care, and spending time with them so they feel calm and cared for. I try to keep my calendar updated regularly and respond quickly to requests. My goal is to be dependable and make scheduling easy so you can feel confident that your pet will receive consistent, attentive care.
