I’ve been around animals my whole life, growing up with both cats and dogs of all personalities, from easygoing labs to high energy, sometimes anxious heelers. That taught me early on how to read animal behavior, stay patient, and build trust with pets at their own pace! In college, I started out studying pre vet before following my passion into wildlife biology, and I’ll be starting grad school this fall studying ecology and evolution with a focus on wildlife. I also spent a summer working with a nonprofit dog rescue in Houston, Texas, helping save dogs from the streets and from kill shelters. It was hands on and sometimes challenging, but really rewarding. I helped with medications, cared for dogs with all kinds of temperaments, and made sure each one felt safe and cared for. I truly believe every animal is special and deserves patience, understanding, and a little extra love. I’ve always found it easy to connect with animals, and I love seeing even shy or anxious pets start to relax and show their personality. Right now I’m saving up for grad school, and honestly I can’t think of a better way to spend my time than being around animals. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping your pet company, I’ll treat them like my own!
