12+ Years of experience working with and caring for both dogs and cats. Briefly worked the summer at the Lake Forest Kennel Club taking care of and spending time with boarded cats and dogs. I’ve personally cared for numerous family pets. In addition, I have also had numerous "exotic" pets from rats to snakes and have taken car of numerous other "exotics" as well. No pet is off-limits to me! I have volunteered at numerous animal shelters in the Chicagoland area and gained valuable animal care experience. I'm an animal lover at heart, and enjoy taking care of and spending time with all animals!

Kira was great with communication and addressing our concerns. Rocco enjoyed playing with her dog. He was a happy dog when we picked him up.
Super responsive from the start—quick replies and kept us totally relaxed. Ellie (who’s shy with new people) was clearly well-loved: patient care, exact feeding schedule, and she came home happy. Highly Recommended.
Benzo had so much fun with Kira & her crew! Kira was very responsive and sent picture updates with all the fun Benzo had- will be using Kira again in the future!
Kira took such great care of my little dog. I think my dog is a little disappointed to be home lol! Kira sent regular updates and the cutest pics. I was a little nervous about my dog being with larger dogs, but it all worked out. They even bought my dog a Christmas gift :). Highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to rebook.
Kira was absolutely amazing with my dog. Thanks to her quick thinking, my dog was able to throw up the toy he accidentally swallowed. She went above and beyond by driving him to the emergency vet and staying to make sure he was okay. I’m so grateful for her care and compassion.

Schedule
I work from home 2 days a week and 3 days in the office. My office days usually consist of me being gone between 6-8 hours. Previous boarders have all done well while I’m away, and enjoy the company of my other two pups.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a ranch house with my two dogs and two cats. They are very familiar with dogs, and are used to new friends coming in and out. I have a pet gate in case I need to separate animals, but have never had problems in the past.

A typical day
I love to go on walks with the dogs I’m watching. There is a nice walking trail by my home which makes for a great adventure. I’ve even visited local dog parks if pet owners are okay with it.
