Hi there! My name is Kira! I’ve worked at The Franklin County Dog Shelter, managed boarding facilities and doggy daycares, and I currently work at two Veterinary Emergency Hospitals. I’m comfortable with pets of all temperaments and energy levels — from shy or anxious babies to high-drive chaos gremlins. I have three dogs and three cats of my own, and a lot of my free time is spent training and finding ways to keep them mentally and physically fulfilled. I really love learning how each animal thinks and what makes things work best for everyone. I only accept bookings on days I know I’ll be fully available, so your pet isn’t just another stop in a packed schedule. I stick closely to your routines, can handle medications, and will always communicate clearly if anything seems off. I also love sending photo updates (probably too many), because I know how hard it can be to be away from them. My goal is simple: I want you to feel completely comfortable, and I want your pet to feel understood. I can’t wait to meet your crew! During drop-ins and walks, I follow your routine closely, monitor for any changes in behavior or health, and make sure your pet feels comfortable in their own space. I’m experienced with administering medications and recognizing when something isn’t normal due to my background in veterinary emergency medicine. Your home will always be respected, secured, and left exactly as I found it.

Kira was great with my two GSD’s! They can be a bit of a handful when I’m gone but she handled their energy perfectly! I’m so glad she has high energy dogs of her own because she made sure to give mine all of the attention that they need and sent lots of pictures to make me feel secure with leaving them for the weekend! They loved her and I look forward to using her again for our next out of town trip!
Kira was AMAZING with my pup Scooter! Scoot is 7 years and a bit of a hassle as he is very particular about many things, especially his food, but Kira handled it like a champ! She made sure scooter was fed, walked and had some special snuggle time as much as he needed! She sent me pictures with updates and even videos, so that I knew he was safe and sound. He now refuses to be watched by anybody else! He absolutely loves her, and so do I. Thank you Kira!
Kira is the perfect person to care for your pet. She has taken wonderful care of all our pets, but especially our very difficult dog. Skippy is a rescued chihuahua, with an aggressive fear of strangers. Kira showed patience, calm, and gentleness with Skippy, and he adores her now, running to her for pets and snuggles. She's loving with all kinds of pets and is very responsible. I trust Kira completely with all our pets, and I know they're in great hands!

I only accept bookings on days I know I’ll be fully available, so your pet isn’t squeezed into a busy schedule. When I’m with them, I’m with them.
