I’ve been around animals my entire life and genuinely love caring for them. I grew up in a homeschooled household with a dog and three cats, so being hands-on with pet care was just part of everyday life. As a kid, I was known around my neighborhood for walking dogs, pet sitting, and helping out wherever I could—even mowing lawns for neighbors—so responsibility and reliability were instilled in me early on. I also spent time working on an alpaca farm, which gave me experience caring for animals with different needs and personalities. In my adult life, I regularly help care for my sister’s three dogs, and since she’s a veterinarian, I’ve learned a lot about animal behavior, health, and proper care through her. I’m also very involved with my two nephews, so patience and attentiveness come naturally to me. One of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had was caring for our family dog, Toby, in his later years. As the youngest, it became my responsibility to make sure he was comfortable, safe, and well cared for as he aged. He lived to be 16, and that experience taught me a lot about compassion, consistency, and the importance of attentive care.

I focus on keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. In a client’s home, I follow all care instructions carefully—feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and any specific preferences—so your pet feels safe and stress-free in their own environment. I also make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship, not just the basics. If I’m caring for a pet in my home, I provide a clean, calm, and safe environment where they can relax. I keep a consistent schedule for feeding, walks, and bathroom breaks, and I’m always attentive to their behavior and needs. I make sure they feel included and comfortable, whether that means active play or just relaxing nearby. No matter the setting, my priority is making sure each pet feels secure, cared for, and happy while you’re away.

Kip has always enjoyed the company of animals, even since a young age. He often had small pets of his own growing up and he managed their care even then. He got his first dog when he was about 10 years old, and he had a good deal of responsibility with the dog even at that age. As an adult, he has cared for others' pets, even traveling quite far to pet-sit for friends' pets. Kip pays attention to even the smallest of details and is kind and responsible with the pets in his care. He loves the outdoors, and will gladly give your pet bountiful exercise. He is very attentive to healthy living, and will make sure your pet gets the nutrition s/he needs. I would recommend Kip highly to dutifully and conscientiously care for any pet.
Kip is a great pet sitter! He watched our cat and 2 lizards for us a few times. He is very attentive to details. Our critters were loved and cared for, and our house looked better than when we left it! Our cat remembers Kip and loves hanging with him.

Schedule
Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I already structure my days around being consistent, active, and attentive. I’m used to building my schedule around responsibilities, so walks, feeding times, and check-ins feel like a natural part of my day rather than something extra. On a weekly basis, I regularly help care for my sister’s dogs, so I’m already in the rhythm of walking, feeding, and spending quality time with pets. I also keep a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets the time, attention, and care they need without rushing. Overall, I enjoy having pet care as part of my routine—it keeps me active, present, and doing something I genuinely enjoy.
