I’m a French bulldog mom and cat mom too. My priorities are your pets health and safety, and I’ll look after your pets and your home like I would my own. I’m a retired dental hygienist of 30 yrs & decided to stay home after my french bulldog was diagnosed with spinal issues (IVDD) & had surgery at age 3 at UC Davis. She has other health problems like IBD, luxating patella’s, food sensitivities & frequent UTIs, we got her while living in HI and unfortunately wasn’t from the best breeder. She is now 8 and doing great but Im still cautious of who I leave her with because I feel most people don’t understand the seriousness of her disease because she looks healthy. This is why I wanted to help others with their pets because I feel I’ve learned so much from Baloo. I also have a cat named Kona who we got in HI. I want to know my animals are being loved and cared for properly when I’m away and I want to do that for you and your pets. I also have volunteered here in CA at the SPCA and Hanauma Bay in Hawaii.

Calendar and availability
Schedule
When I spend the night in a clients home, especially longer than a few days, after letting your pets out, feeding them, walking them etc. I leave around 8:30 am and come back between 12:30-1:30 to let them out and feed if needed and I leave again returning around 5:30 for the night. I feel that most animals can go for 4 hrs before the next potty break, but of course I will personalize each clients needs. And a lot of time I just leave only once a day for 4 hrs depending on again how long the stay is and if I have appointments. I love animals and have always had a cat and a dog. Now that I’m retired from dental hygiene I’m available for your pets when needed.

Safety, trust & environment
My care for my French bulldog may look different than for most pets because of her spinal issues. We have ramps and gates throughout the house, keeping her from jumping. Food bowls are raised since she had neck surgery. She eats 3 x a day because of her IBD with snacks. And she’s let out to potty frequently because of her UTIs. We have beds throughout the house so she’s never lying on the floor and our cat uses them too. And of course there is always fresh water for both my dog and cat. Both animals are kept inside unless we are outside with them. I would care for your pets as you ask me to because no pets are the same. I want you to feel comfortable that your pets will be well cared for.
Pets
A typical day
I will play with and or walk your pets I care for as you would like me to. My own pet, because of her spinal issues, can only have short walks. I also use a snuffle mat and different ways to hide treats for her to find.
