I work from home every day except Monday and Wednesday, which allows me to provide consistent care, walks, and attention throughout the week. Samara, who is a teacher, is often home earlier in the day, so there’s usually someone around to check in on pets. On weekends, we’re both home and available when noted on our calendar, making it easy to give plenty of playtime, cuddles, and supervision.

We’d love to know about your pet’s behavior, both at home and while out on walks, including how they interact with other dogs, navigate public spaces, and handle crowds. (For example, Kuzi thinks all kids on scooters want to play with her and loves chasing after them...) Please also let us know about any food restrictions, what calms or excites them, and any unique quirks. If your dog is in training or knows commands, sharing your techniques and cue words helps us maintain consistency for your pet. Finally, honesty is key! The more transparent you are about your pet’s needs, the better we can prepare and ensure their safety and happiness during their stay.
A typical day
We love keeping pets active and happy, while also making sure they get plenty of rest! A typical day includes morning walks for dogs and playful sessions for cats. After breakfast, we enjoy playtime and enrichment activities, followed by afternoon strolls or visits to nearby parks—around Park Slope and Prospect Park are just a few of our favorite routes. Depending on each dog’s activity level, we’ll walk at different paces and explore a variety of scenery. Every pet receives care tailored to their energy level and personality, ending the day with a wind-down routine. It’s all about fun, comfort, and making sure every pet feels loved and engaged!

🐾 Hi there! We’re Kimmie & Samara - your pet’s new bonus best friends (we could never replace you!) in Park Slope/Gowanus! 🐾 I (Kimmie) grew up with dogs and Samara grew up with cats, so between the two of us, we’ve got all your pet needs covered. We’re active and happy to manage long walks, park playtime when requested, or cozy cuddle sessions on the couch. I handle most walks and drop-ins and when your pet stays at our house, Samara is another set of gentle, qualified hands to care for them! Our almost 2-year-old dog, Kuzi, would love to meet your pets. She is best friends with anyone (pet or human) who walks through our door! She can join walks to help socialize your dog if requested and will definitely be around during stays at our home. We hope to build long-term relationships with your family and provide support to make long workdays, travel, or any other hectic days a little easier for you! For overnight stays longer than one night, we require that you book a daycare visit beforehand. This helps ensure our home and Kuzi are a great match for your pet! We welcome families of all races, backgrounds, and identities, and dogs of all breeds! We strive to provide a safe, loving, and fun environment for everyone. However, please note that we are unable to host dogs who are reactive toward other dogs, as our dog Kuzi will be present during stays.

Kimmie was absolutely wonderful with Basil! From the start, she was calm, attentive, and clearly experienced with dogs. Basil can sometimes take a minute to warm up in new situations, especially on a first visit, but Kimmie handled the first meeting with ease and made sure Basil felt safe and comfortable. She kept us updated, was responsive, and treated Basil like he was her own. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring and capable hands. Kimmie is now our go to sitter, and we couldn’t recommend her more highly!

Kimmie and Samara were so sweet and patient with our pup! They took great care of her, and our pup was exhausted and so happy by the time we picked her up. It was an added plus that she played all day with Kuzie. They also sent many updates with pictures, and were always responsive. Really appreciate the level of care, and patience they had with our pup. We would definitely recommend!
