Emergency veterinary technician FFC

**please note I am located in Winlock, WA. Rover is working on updating my information** Hello, My name is Kim! I have been pet sitting on and off for 18 years, and I've had dogs/cats and trained dogs for over 14 years now. I'vw been a veterinary technician and emergency veterinary technician for over 12 years. I currently work part time at SCVSEC. I am fear free certified. I have extensive experience caring for dogs with special needs, medical needs, senior dogs, and dogs that are on hospice care. I also have 10+ years experience in training dogs, from competitive obedience and agility, to service dogs, to working with fear aggressive dogs. I particularly love puppy development and training. I use positive reinforcement and have experience in clicker training, but I can cater to any training needs. I do offer bathing/grooming in my home for those that stay with us. I have experience in grooming and competitive conformation. I am only available for day care and boarding at my house, and I would love to schedule a meet and greet to see if we're a good match. We have a fully fenced yard. Our home houses 3 very socialized dogs, 2 dog friendly cats, 9 chickens (they have their own yard), and a chinchilla. Requirements: your pet MUST be up to date on age appropriate vaccines (DHPP, Lepto, Rabies). I do strongly recommend Bordetella and Influenza as well, due to recent outbreaks. Your pet must be crate trained, as I do not leave pets loose when I leave the house for safety reasons. For puppies, I will gladly work on their crate training. Pets are supervised 24/7, I have 2 cameras in the pet area for when I have to leave the house. I love to cater to the individual, so please tell me about your pet so I can make sure they have the best and most enjoyable stay! **For all overnight house sitting requests, due to circumstances I need to bring my 1 dog with me. He is well socialized with dogs and a polite house guest. I have lived in a dog daycare/boarding situation, so I am very used to keeping dogs separate and I am more than happy to keep him separate and he would stay in a crate. If you have any questions about this or about him, please feel free to ask! Normally I wouldn’t bring my personal dog, but due to several reasons we are a package deal.**

Safety, trust & environment

I treat every pet like they are our own and give them endless attention (I might spoil them a bit). I pay a lot of attention to instructions and I’m not afraid to ask questions. Making sure your pet is happy and comfortable while you are gone and giving exceptional care is my priority.

Kimberly was a Thanksgiving savior for our family! We needed to travel to visit family for Thanksgiving and our Olde English Bulldogge, Hugo doesn’t do well on car rides. We had never left him with anyone before and we looked into Rover and found Kimberly. She has a solid bio with lots of experience with all different animals and animal behaviors. We felt comfortable from our very first text with Kimberly. She took excellent care of our boy- even allowed him to work as sous chef during feedings! We highly recommend Kimberly and we will absolutely reach out to her again when in need of care for our four legged family members.

Doggy Day Care • Nov 27, 2021

Kimberly was truly a prayer answered! She was just the kind of caregiver that we hoped for and more! Kimberly even had her own pet who was an awesome playmate for Brindle, and Kimberly said Brindle played for 5hrs straight! Lol When we got home Brindle walked around a bit, then went straight to her Kennel, and slept for the remainder of the night! Lol Thank you for an awesome day Kimberly! We will be back!??

We were so happy to leave our 3 week old kitten who needed constant care. Kimberly did a great job of keeping us updated on Bobby’s day! She help him use kitty litter for the first time. We have already rebooked for an upcoming day!

My wife and I were extremely pleased with Kimberly. Pictures she sent of our dog while we were away were very reassuring. We will use her services again.

Schedule

I am home almost 24/7, aside from an occasional appointment, so my day revolves solely around caring for any and all animals. I have a very flexible routine, so I can cater specifically to clients needs and time frames.

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Kimberly can host up to 2 drop-ins per day
I want your pet to have a good time while you are away! When outside, I always supervise the dogs 100%. Young dogs and puppies I monitor more closely inside. I do not have any breed or size preferences. I am comfortable and experienced with intact animals. I do request contact information for the vet and an emergency contact just as a precaution (having worked in emergency veterinary, I have seen a lot of things). Aside from that, please tell me as much as you want about your pet!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
