Firstly, thank you for considering me for your pet care needs! I am a 30 year old dog/cat/rodent/horse-savvy animal lover. Professionally, I work for a national animal welfare nonprofit and personally, I am involved in animal rescue. If you are looking for a sitter who is knowledgeable, trustworthy, and experienced, and who will treat your pet as their own, please reach out! Not unlike the other Rover sitters, I pet sit because I love animals. But more than that, I care about setting your pet up for success while you're away. Having a stranger come into your home and care for your animals is always nerve-racking—I strive to make both you and your pet(s) feel at ease. I have a solid understanding of canine body language—I'm not the sitter who will, upon meeting your dog for the first time, get in their personal space: no matter how well-socialized and friendly they are. I let the dog come to me, and allow them to take their time getting familiar. However, I will also take the time to get to know them: what they like and dislike, what their energy level is, and all of their quirks. In short, I will absolutely treat your pet like my own, and make sure they have the best possible experience! I can handle large, strong dogs as well as small dogs who think they are the boss. :) I am willing to walk your pup as often or as much as needed and will make sure you feel comfortable with me caring for your pet.
