Availability

I work a consistent weekday schedule and build my day around the needs of the dogs in my care. I’m up early for morning walks, feeding, or medications, and I return home midday to check in, let dogs out, and provide a short walk or break as needed. I’m typically home by the early evening and prioritize time for longer walks, attention, and routine. My home also has a securely fenced yard with multiple dog doors for safe, convenient access throughout the day. Weekends are more flexible, allowing for additional time, activity, and individualized care depending on your dog’s needs.

Safety, trust & environment

Dogs in my care are treated with a high level of attention, structure, and awareness. With a multi-dog household of my own, I’m very mindful of introductions, energy levels, and group dynamics to ensure every dog feels safe and comfortable. I have a securely fenced yard with multiple dog doors for safe, consistent outdoor access, and I maintain a calm, structured environment inside the home. Dogs are always supervised during interactions, and I can easily separate or crate as needed based on temperament, routine, or owner preference. I’m equipped with crates for dogs of all sizes and have custom gating that allows me to section off areas of the home—including spaces with direct outdoor access—so each dog can have a setup that best supports their comfort and safety. I take time to understand each dog’s behavior, triggers, and needs, and I prioritize safety in all environments—whether at home, on walks, or in new settings.

Information Kimberly M. would like to know about your pet

To ensure the best fit and a safe, comfortable stay for everyone, I like to understand a few key things about your dog: Are they potty trained? How do they do when left alone or crated? Any history of destructiveness or escape behaviors? How do they interact with other dogs (social, selective, reactive)? Do they have any prey drive or triggers I should be aware of? Any medical needs, medications, or mobility considerations? The more I know upfront, the better I can create an environment where your dog feels safe, supported, and set up for success.

A typical day

A typical day is structured around each dog’s needs and energy level. Mornings start with walks, feeding, and any medications if needed, followed by a calm transition into the day. Depending on the dog, I incorporate neighborhood walks or time in more natural settings like wooded trails, always prioritizing safety and leash awareness. Throughout the day, dogs have access to the yard, rest time, and supervised interaction. Evenings include longer walks, engagement, and wind-down time so dogs feel settled and comfortable.

Pet care experience

I’ve spent years caring for dogs in a wide range of environments—from raising my own multi-dog household to fostering rescue dogs with diverse personalities and needs. Dogs aren’t just part of my life—they shape how I live it. I currently have three dogs of my own, so I’m very familiar with managing different temperaments, energy levels, and household dynamics. I understand how important structure, supervision, and reading body language are—especially when introducing new environments or routines. Through both personal experience and rescue work, I’ve developed a strong skill set in caring for senior and specialized-needs dogs. I’m comfortable administering medications, including injections and subcutaneous fluids, and have experience supporting dogs with mobility challenges, arthritis, and limb differences (including tripods). I’m also experienced with crate training, post-procedure care, and maintaining consistent routines for dogs who need additional support. I’ve worked with dogs coming from high-stress or transitional situations, so I’m especially patient with anxious, shy, or more complex personalities. I take the time to understand each dog’s needs and meet them where they are. I’m attentive, reliable, and highly tuned in to each dog’s individual needs—whether that’s active play, calm companionship, or more hands-on care. I also prioritize clear communication, so you’ll always feel updated and confident while you’re away. I’m comfortable walking dogs in a variety of environments, including neighborhoods, trails, and more natural settings. I tailor walks to your dog’s comfort level, energy, and leash skills—whether that’s a structured neighborhood walk or a slower, more exploratory outing. Safety, awareness, and control are always my priority. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and emotional well-being are always my priority. To ensure every dog receives the level of care they deserve, I’m intentional about taking on the right fits and may ask a few questions before confirming bookings.

Kim is the absolute best. I not only would trust her with any of my animals, but I would recommend her to anybody I know with confidence. If I have a question about an animal, Kim is the first person I call. She has fostered countless animals in all sorts of situations, and cares and loves for all of them as her own. She took care of my dog (and her six puppies) when she was going through chemo treatments, and helped train her! I wish I could take credit for how well behaved my pup is, but that was all Kim. Kim is always helping me and not intimidating to ask questions to. She has natural instincts with animals and will take great care of your dog.

Kim is truly the best and only person I trust with watching my dog, Frida. In fact, frida prefers kim over me most of the time. I love their connection, and honestly couldn’t recommend Kim enough to watch your furry animals - you and they would be lucky to have her!

I highly recommend Kim - she is truly incredible! She has watched our pup several times, sometimes over multiple weeks. Not only is Kim great at caring for dogs but given her background with fostering dogs, she is also great at observing their traits and helping you both better understand your dog after being with her and she is great at giving helpful tips to train your dog or things to be mindful of. We are indebted to Kim for caring for our pup. Our dog loves going to her house! She also doesn't make us feel weird when we request ridiculous amount of photos of her when we miss her on our trips.

My dog LOVES Kim! Immediately upon meeting Kim it is quite obvious that spending time with and caring for animals is her passion. She volunteers her home and time to a non profit that ensures a loving home to displaced pets. When leaving our dog Juno with her, we know that she is getting plenty of exercise and attention. She will even send videos and/or pics of their times together!
