We're a husband and wife team that have both had dogs in our lives since we were born. We love all animals, but think dogs stand alone as humankind's best friend. We are both lucky enough to have had a number of four-legged family members throughout our lives and we've also taken care of our friends' pets on numerous occasions as well as volunteered at animal shelters. Currently we have 2 small, fixed rescues named Teddy and Toby that are our pride and joy. We recently installed a doggie door in our home so the pups can go in and out as they please to our fenced back yard (which your pup would also be able to do! Most figure it out quite quickly). Kim works from home full time, while Justin is on a hybrid schedule, so you can rest assured that your family member will get the care and attention they deserve. Our specialties include providing cuddling and pets, making your dog feel safe and at ease, walks and playtime, and providing responsive communication to you while your pup is staying with us. On the weekends we sometimes go to the park if the weather is nice. Occasionally we'll take the dogs on a longer hiking trip to a nearby state park (and with your permission, your pup may come too!) Our 2 terriers are good with other non-aggressive dogs and can keep your pup company. Your pet can hang out on the couch if he/she likes, they're welcome on the bed, and we can provide walks daily and do our best to keep them in their routine. There is a nice park 2 blocks from our house that provides a lot of nice smells for the dogs to enjoy that we like taking them to. We never rush the walks and let the dogs sniff as they please since we understand that this is THEIR time outside to enjoy themselves.

Peggy, my senior dachshund, had a great time with Kimberly and Justin. I am glad I chose them. They live near me so the neighborhood was familiar, and we were able to visit a few days before the stay so Peggy could see the house and interact a bit with Kimberly. I received photos during the stay and Peggy looked very chill. I also think it helped that they have two small dogs of their own so Peggy could join the pack and follow what they do. Making your dog feel safe and secure is of the utmost importance to us. We want your animal to feel at home and comfortable because we know that a new environment can be stressful so we do everything that we can to alleviate that stress (beginning with properly introducing your dog to our dogs and the new space). We generally try to only board one dog at a time to give your pet the attention and care they deserve, however occasionally there will be overlap when there may be another dog guest. We keep a constant eye on all interactions between your dog and our dogs (and possibly another Rover pup), so you can know that your dog will always feel safe and secure staying with us since we have experience handling all sorts of temperaments. We are always VERY attentive during feeding time to make sure there are no conflicts and everyone gets their full meal.

Let us know if your animal has special needs or requirements that we can accommodate. We're happy to help any unique situation. We both have experience administering oral medication, ear medication, as well as brushing teeth. We prefer that you drop your dog off bathed, however if they are on the smaller size we can give them a bath for a small fee. We will typically blowdry and/or brush them out depending on their coat type.
A typical day
We live close to a large park where we often walk our dogs. Our typical day varies from long walks and active jogs (with the dogs) and more relaxed days. Our two dogs are big snugglers and like to lounge, but they don't really like to play with other dogs.

Availability
We both work from home with flexible schedules (one full time; one hybrid) so we can give your dog the care and attention they deserve. We typically wake up around 8am and go to sleep around midnight, however we are receptive to earlier dropoffs if that is needed. We could also provide routine daycare after the first sitting (rates negotiable).
