When I'm staying at client's homes, I always make sure that it's a safe environment: a secure backyard, personal items up and away from pets, and leashes on when outside the home. I always think about how to maintain the safest environment for the pets.

Having a first and sometimes second meeting with the household gives me an opportunity to learn about a dog's temperament, daily schedule, training, and household rules. Is the dog allowed on the couch? What's their feeding schedule? Can they have treats? Are they escape artists? How well do they walk on leash, and do they have any anxieties related to their neighborhood? (Is there a route or street I should avoid?) Can they sit with me when I go for my morning coffee or should I leave them at home? What parts of the house are off limits to me and the dog?

It really depends on the dog, but I try to stay with the schedule of the owner: walks, hikes, backyard playtime, cuddle time, kongs, basic training re-enforcement are all part of my relationship with your pet. One of my favorite things to do is to help build on a dog's training and command vocabulary. Sit, stay, leave it, and find it are all great to practice. I'm also happy to care for elderly dogs whose activities need more supervision.

I've been on Rover since 2017, but I've been a full time pet sitter since 2012. I have plenty of established customers/dogs, but I'm always happy to interview new clients. Check with me for discounts for the month of January only! I take care of elderly dogs, shy dogs, and those with a list of specific needs. I'm also a good hang for a couch potato. Whatever the level of training or discipline, I can accommodate you. Just ask! References happily provided upon request. I also care for cats and mixed households with multiple dogs and demands. Houseplants and gardens, too! My first pet growing up was a poodle and he was my best friend. He taught me a lot about patience and devotion. I credit him for my natural calmness and ability with other dogs.

We truly can't say enough wonderful things about our Kim. She stays in our home and takes such loving care of our two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels—they're always so happy, relaxed, and clearly adored when we get home. She also treats our home with the same care and respect, and we always return to everything just as we left it. Knowing our dogs and home are in such caring, trustworthy hands gives us complete peace of mind every time we travel. We appreciate her more than words can say and feel so lucky to have found her. We recommend her without hesitation!
Kimberly was a terrific house/dog-sitter for us! She was very communicative, sent frequent pictures of our dog on walks, and left the house in spotless shape. We would absolutely ask for Kimberly's services again!
