Pet care experience

Seeking: Pets that love to play!

I grew up loving animals and have kept that passion throughout my adulthood. Over the past 10 years I have spent 4 years as a foster parent for the IHS, I fostered puppies, dogs, cats, and specialized in rehabilitation and quarantine for sick and injured animals. I have walked dogs, done pet sitting, and currently volunteer doing rescue dog transports that help transport dogs from shelters across the country to rescues or adoptive homes in other states. I have been doing small pet sitting jobs over the past two years but stopped after losing both of my dogs to cancer within months of each other this past year. Now I am looking to fill my life and house with happy pets that need care and love, and to be able to provide fellow animal lovers like me with an experienced, trustworthy, and honest caregiver for their pets to help put their minds at ease during the day, overnight, or anytime you need some extra help! I currently work full-time and have a flexible schedule that allows me to work from home part of the time. I am able to accommodate most any pet needs and am open and willing to work with you to arrange the best schedule for you and your pet! When your pet is staying with me they will have no shortage of fun! My husband and I are both available to give lots of love, pets, and walks! When not out and about, our house has plenty of square footage to allow for games of chase, fetch, or lounging and we have no shortage of toys! When wanting to go outside the adventure never ends! Our property sits on a half-acre, is fully fenced, and has nice big trees, bushes, and places to explore! We have open availability and are open to long term and short term stays and love to have repeat clients! We often care for multiple dogs at a time and there is plenty of room for them to play, and we are able to provide separate sleeping and relaxing areas if they prefer those. We do daily walks, hikes, or runs, TONS of cuddles, and have plenty of toys available that will suit any pups preference. We think cleanliness is a top priority and we clean and sanitize daily. We vacuum, mop, and disinfect daily. We wash all toys and bedding between stays, and we shampoo carpets weekly.

Kim and Mark did such a lovely job working after our dog Dash! He seemed to have a great time with them and I know we appreciated how much fetch he got to play!!

Kim and Mark were unbelievably helpful. Their experience with dogs gave us peace of mind while we were gone. We also appreciated them trusting their judgement when it came to multiple dogs and keeping all of them safe. Lastly, you can especially rest easy knowing your dog will have an awesome companion during those loud thunderstorms.

Schedule

We both work full-time but our schedules are staggered and allow us to make sure there are not more than 2 or so hours that pups would be alone when I am working from the office. We are do walks in the mornings and evenings if the weather allows and add in playtimes throughout the day. On weekends we love to hike and go to the green belt.

Safety, trust & environment

We have a large, fully-fenced yard with room for playing and lots of trees and bushes for exploring. We do keep some gates up in the house, mostly to keep pups out of the kitchen and laundry areas to make sure that pups stay safe and don’t get into anything they shouldn’t.

A typical day

There are a few great places to walk around our house, the neighbor is very quiet and has very little traffic. We can go for walks around the neighborhood (possibly see some llamas, cows, and horses!) or we can go to the park and go for walks or runs there! We also do trips to the Foothills and Greenbelt for additional stimulation and exercise :)

We like to know their personality! What toys and games they love to play, their favorite places to be pet, where they like to sleep, etc. We love all breeds, but have a soft spot for the bully breeds! We also like to know what your expectations are for us!
