Mature, loving and fun
I grew up in farmlands of rural Virginia. I was an only child and spent lots of time playing and working with horses as well as our many dogs and cats. During college I worked at a dog boarding/grooming business where I learned skills in dog obedience training, which included courses on understanding the body language "cues" dogs and cats use to communicate with each other and us. After college, I volunteered for many years at a local animal shelter where I would groom, walk and play with animals waiting on adoption. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have provided companion, basic grooming and obedience training services for many friends' and neighbors' pets over the past three decades. I am 56 and extremely responsible, intuitive and the most happy around animals.

Safety, trust & environment
It's not uncommon for some pets to be nervous and unsure when their owners are out of town, especially if they are not used to it. Having your pets stay in their own home during this time is much less anxiety producing. Most pets tend to feel calmer in an environment they know as opposed to feeling "on guard" in a totally new environment. When interacting with pets, it's important to show them that they are safe and loved. I insist on staying with their regular schedules of feeding, exercise and rest. To ensure the maximum comfort for pets, I ask clients to leave me a write up that outlines as much information about their pet as possible with detailed instructions. If your pets aren't happy, then I'm not happy and will do whatever it takes to ensure their needs are met.

Kim is excellent! She stays in touch, our pets like her and she's even a pet photographer. The house was in great condition when we got home. She's a really good match for us.

Kim watched our sr. staffordshire while we had an extended work trip of 3 weeks. She was very professional, caring and attuned to our pup. A great help with general checking on house, mail, watering plants too. She even was able to jump in the last days when we were having some complaints from neighbors. We really appreciate her help on this trip and definitely recommend her for your pet sitting needs. She really cares about animals.
