Hi, I'm Kim and I worked as a Vet Assistant through college and then joined the Marine Corps, after spending time raising babies, I returned to work in the vet field, as a Vet Assistant at a local vet hospital. I have since left the vet field, but do work from home full time. We have been a foster home for a local Giant Breed Rescue, we are comfortable with all sizes and ages of dogs. All of our pets are part of our family and they are treated as such. We have a 9 year old Mini Schnauzer, a 8 year old French Mastiff, a 5 year old Great Dane, 2 cats and some backyard chickens. We take lots of potty breaks and play time throughout the day. We are comfortable working with dogs with special needs and have no trouble giving daily medications. I have references available, and would love the opportunity to be your pet's home away from home!

Kim was amazing with our dog Blazer! He loved spending time with her and her 2 dogs while we were out of town. She kept us updated on how he was doing with pictures. She has a great backyard for the dogs to run around as well as a safe clean space indoors. You can tell she truly enjoys animals. We will rebook and recommend her to friends!
Kim was wonderful with our cuddly guy. They have a great routine and her daughters were good snugglers with him too. She sent pictures & videos to keep me posted of how things were going. Her sweet dogs & pets kept Cody busy playing & he always looked like he was very happy. I definitely recommend Kim as a great “home away from home”.
We were so impressed with Kim's boarding. She had both of our dogs for 6 days (what a saint) and she made sure to keep us well informed with how they were doing. Kim is very personable and accommodating. I would highly recommend her!
It was meant for us to meet, my little girl loves Kim and her family. This was my 4th time having Kim watch Lola Marie for me and every time I am super comfortable leaving her in her home. Kim sends me photos which is comforting. Knowing that Kim cares for many breeds assures me that my LolaMarie is ok while other dogs are present.
Kim was wonderful with my dogs. She is a pro!
Kim took great care of Ronnie. He got everything he needs: walks and friendly people to hang out with.

Schedule
I work full time remote, 6-2:30, so we have a pretty set routine. Dogs potty and eat first thing in the morning and again around 5:30-6pm. Potty breaks are roughly 2 hours, or as needed. I have a fenced in back yard, and the dogs are in and out throughout the day (never left alone outdoors).

Pets in my home are cared for as a member of the family. We have plenty of space for a crate (if needed/most comfortable there), dogs have a twin mattress on my bedroom floor and sleep in the room with me. We have tons of toys and a dog (baby) pool out back for them.

A typical day
We live near the Poquoson Museum, which is one of our favorite trails to walk. I enjoy running as well, and weather permitting, will take along dog friends sometimes. My great dane is my standard running buddy. We also take field trips to Lowes and outdoor restaurants.
