I have a very flexible schedule and I would love to add dog walking in to my weeks. If you don't see the date you need in my calendar, please feel free to message! I can do a couple of regular walks on weekdays and some longer walks on the weekend and a few evenings too. If you’re looking for someone to keep your pup company, on a lot of days, I could take virtual meetings and get work done at your place while I do a day drop in. Let me know!

Information Kim H. would like to know about your pet

Useful information for me are fears, stresses or triggers, any schedule that is in place, some key commands and if there are preferable words for reward. Also knowing any allergies would be helpful! The more info you'd like to give, the better! For walks it’s also great to know if they have any triggers (small dogs, cats, high prey drive) etc and if they are known for trying to eat things off the floor. If they are staying with me I need to know: - if there have been any tendencies of destroying furniture/shoes so I can plan accordingly - how they react if there hear another dog in the building - if they have a history of barking or yelling when left at home alone for a short or long period

A typical day

I love doing snuffle mats and fun slow feeder activities! as well as training on commands and fun things. When I have a dog with me it’s usually a case of where I go, they go! So we will explore the city, find nice river walks on the weekend or enjoy a few of the local parks in the area.

Pet care experience

I’ve grown up with dogs, not able to have one at the moment so I’d love to hang out with yours for walks, drop in visits, doggy day care and the occasional boarding. I have experience with a wide range of dogs, including anxious, reactive, very smart and stubborn dogs. I would love to keep you updated with photos from our adventures and I’ll usually send a quick overview of how the visit / walk went! While living in Canada we fostered 4 dogs - two Huskies, One Samoyed and one Husky, German Shepard, Golden Malamute mix. Growing up I had a sensitive and smart boarder collie who had a lot of fears and triggers. Until recently my family had a golden doodle who we worked on separation anxiety with. I am a calm individual who is observant of what’s going on around me, other dogs body language to keep your pups safe!

Kim fostered the dog we adopted and did a splendid job. She also dogsat for us a few times after we adopted our dog and did great. She is highly knowledgeable regarding dogs and it is clear that she loves dogs a great deal. I highly recommend her.

Kim is just amazing!!! She’s friendly with a great heart. She’s lovely inside out and the amount of work and care she puts toward dogs is outstanding! She has great knowledge and experience fostering dogs. I rescued a husky from overseas and poor baby was so fragile and weak that couldn’t stand on his legs but after a short while he changed to a totally different pup. I’m really grateful to know such a great person 💕💕💕

Kim has been nothing but perfect for all dogs she's looked after! No matter if it's been a foster dog or a friend's pet, she always goes above and beyond to look after them and ensure they get what they need. Kim loves walking dogs and ensuring they get enough exercise but also loves cuddling them and giving them attention and love. If the dogs have any other requirements such as medicine or dietary requirements, Kim is able to sort those quickly, efficiently and calmly. Overall, Kim is AMAZING with dogs, loves them in general and is the perfect person to be looking after them. She also has a lot of experience with a lot of different breeds of dog, though especially Huskys which need some extra looking after and attention.
