Killian can care for
Availability
My schedule can be very flexible. I do have 4-5 hours of client work a day typically, tho much more during the holidays. I also recently adopted a teenager so that takes up some of my time too, tho he loves to tag along and be around the animals too.

About Killian T.

Safety, trust & environment
How I care for pets is really dependent on the owner and the pet. My procedure would be to interview the pet owner about what their pet usually needs, and stick to that as best I can. I’m autistic and good at following rules. I love going on long walks, to dog parks, giving pets, playing, and hanging out with animals of all kinds, while respecting their boundaries and knowing that not every pet loves that much attention. I like to think I can be the fun uncle, the best friend, the staycation buddy; or the designated poop scooper and food dispenser as needed!
Information Killian T. would like to know about your pet
What is their normal day/routine like? What are their exercise needs? How are they around other dogs/bigger/smaller animals? How are they around people? Do they have any medical needs? What are their quirks?
A typical day
My regular walking clients are usually from 10-2ish, sometimes a bit earlier and sometimes a bit later. After that I typically go to my overnight client for some afternoon walkies, or yard play time, and try to tucker them out. I might have afternoon/early evening clients, and sometimes have social plans, but am typically with the client for an hour or two in the afternoon. Dinner time is whatever time the owner requests, and then chilling in the evening while I work on my computer unless I have social plans or a drop in to pop out for. If your pet has specific schedule needs feel free to ask me what I estimate my schedule to look like for the window you’re hoping to book.

OFF JUL 20 - AUG 31ST FOR SURGERY
Pet care experience
Thank you to my wonderful clients and community! Because of you I'll be able to afford to take July 20th to August 31st off for gender affirming top surgery. (A double mastectomy) I'll see you all again in 6 weeks! If I don't respond to messages quickly it's because I'm resting. Hello! My name is Killian (he/him) and I’m a trans man. You may have previously known me as Katherine H. I’ve been working through Rover providing pet care since May 2023 and it is my full time work! I dabble in art and writing on the side too. My experience with non-human animals includes: 3 years of working with a Pomeranian breeder as an amateur groomer and enclosure cleaner as a teen, working with horse trainers as an aide, growing up on a farm caring for cows, chickens, ducks, geese, sheep, pigs, horses, dogs, cats, and other odd creatures. I raised and trained 6 different family dogs. I have 7 years of caring for my pet chameleon under my belt as well, she passed away last year :(. I’ve pet sat many friends animals while they’re away and often picked up odd house and pet sitting jobs in my teen/early adult years. I lived with my siblings for 3 years who had a dog, and a cat, but I was not the primary caregiver for either of those animals, though I did assist with their care, and loved hanging out with, walking, and playing with my dog-phew Murphy, and giving pets to my cat-eice Xena. I’ve been doing petcare on and off Rover for near to 3 years now, I have regular walking clients who keep me busy 4-5 hours a day, and lots of cat clients who regularly re-book with me. I love all the pets I get to work with, and am attached to my regulars (we are besties). My clients are my community and because of them I’ve been able to work for myself full time for a long while, have health insurance, adopt a teen, and support my non-client community as well. My roommate and platonic life partner also does petcare through Rover, (Katie featured in photos) and if I’m not available to care for your pets she might be! She’s basically a Disney princess of a petcare provider. I also spend much of my free time around animals too, either an overnight client, or my girlfriend’s pitbull Kuu (also in the photos) we are best friends. So even though I don’t have a fur baby of my own, (right now) I will treat yours just like family!
Reviews

Killian is the best. He’s a great communicator and takes such great care of our pup who can be a handful. We’ve been lucky to have him walk / sit our dog for a couple of years now!

Killian took great care of our pup and our home and communicated frequent updates. Will definitely hire him again!

Killian did amazing! He was in contact about the boys every day and even made sure we were aware of a possible health issue. We will be booking with him again.

Katherine has watched my cat while I've been out of town several times now and always does a great job!
