I have cared for animals since I can remember- I grew up on a farm and my first ever job was at a pet store where we had extensive education about animal behavior and nutrition. I started fostering animals after college and while I don't do that full time anymore - cats and dogs always seems to find their way to our house when in need. I have done dog walking and house/ cat sitting on and off for friends and friends of friends for years and I always go out of my way to find more animals to cuddle. This gig seems like the best way to do that!

Very negligent & irresponsible. My 6 mo old Burnese Mountain Dog puppy got hundreds of burs in his fur from the sitters yard. He got them the 1st night & she didn't even tell me until 2 days later when I was picking him up. She didn't prevent him from getting more & she did not get them removed. He also has an open puncture wound on his ear which looks like a bite mark (which she also didn't tell me about). I now need to take him to the vet & a groomer to most likely be shaved which will ruin his double coated fur. The vet may actually have to put him to sleep & shave him themselves because he has many, many burs in extremely painful, sensitive areas down to the skin (like his privates).

Kijah was so friendly and communicative. Louie received excellent care and made so many friends! I had a scheduling blip and needed to extend the time last minute and Kijah was really flexible.
Kijah did a great job taking care of Rocky! She was communicative, caring and sent regular photo updates to let us know he was doing well. It was nice to know he was in good hands!
I'd highly recommend Kijah for any pet caregiving needs. She has watched and cared for multiple dogs of mine throughout the years. My dogs have varied in size, age, and have sometimes required extra medical needs and Kijah has always risen to the challenge of meeting all their needs. She has always been flexible with pick-up/drop-off times, is quick to respond to messages, and above all is a kind and nurturing person that animals love!

Schedule
I work 12 hour shifts only a couple days a week so I have many free days for pet care. I am home all the days I'm not working and can spend it with furry friends!

I have a fenced in back yard and tons of walkable space near my house for plays and exercise for your baby. I am good at going with the flow of whatever the fur baby's energy is but I am also great at following a routine for your baby as well.

A typical day
I love to take walks play in the backyard and use the sprinkler on hot days! My specialty is snuffle mats and frozen treat toys because sniffing uses a lot of energy for dogs!
