Hello! I'm a part-time psychologist and an experienced, reliable pet sitter with a genuine love for animals. Caring for pets is something I do because I truly enjoy it, and it's one of my favourite ways to spend my free time. My experience comes from growing up with pets, as well as around 10 years of caring for animals in both my own home and other people's homes. I've looked after pets of all ages, from playful youngsters to senior companions who need a little extra patience and care. I've also volunteered as a fosterer for Cats Protection, helping cats settle into a safe, loving environment while they waited for their forever homes. I'm a huge nature lover, so whether your dog enjoys long countryside walks, woodland adventures or simply exploring the local park, I'll be just as happy as they are! Equally, if your pet prefers a slower pace, I'm more than content spending time at home providing company, cuddles and plenty of attention. Friends and family would describe me as reliable, trustworthy and calm, and I understand how important it is to know your pets are in safe hands while you're away. I'll care for them as if they were my own, making sure they receive lots of love, play, enrichment and, of course, plenty of fuss. Outside of work I enjoy walking, kayaking, music and discovering great food. I'm also fortunate to share my home with my partner, who is a wildlife photographer and conservationist, so we're a household that truly appreciates animals and the natural world. Kieta has a lovely kind and calm nature and makes friends with animals with ease. She has fostered several cats and kittens for the Cat Protection charity with great success. One very traumatised cat went from hiding away to purring in Kieta's face because of her patience and understanding. Kieta took over total care including veterinary visits as required and is very much a safe and capable pet carer.

Schedule
I work part-time, spending one and a half days a week working from home and currently in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Outside of those hours, I have plenty of time to give your pet the attention they deserve, whether that's playtime, cuddles, enrichment, or exercise throughout the week and at weekends. If your booking falls on one of my office days, we'll discuss it beforehand to make sure your pet won't be left alone for longer than they're comfortable with. When it comes to walks for dogs, I'll always follow your guidance on the frequency and length that best suits your dog. I'm an active person and love long walks and adventures, but I'm just as happy with shorter, gentler strolls if that's what your pet prefers.

Safety, trust & environment
I own a comfortable apartment where I'm able to provide a safe, calm environment for cat care. To ensure every cat receives my full attention, I only care for one at a time (unless there are two cats from the same household). I don't have a garden or cat flap. If I'm caring for your pet in your home, you can be confident that I'll treat both your pet and your home with respect, leaving everything just as I found it. For house sitting bookings, I do require a reliable internet connection, as I work remotely during part of the week. Please let me know if you have any questions.
