I also enjoy keeping dogs mentally engaged with basic training reinforcement and interactive games based on their energy level. For cats, I focus on play that matches their personality, using toys like feather wands or laser pointers, encouraging gentle exercise, and providing calm companionship. Whether they’re playful or more independent, I make sure they get enrichment, comfort, and affection in a way that feels natural to them.

Hi! I’m Kiersten — a lifelong animal lover who truly treats every pet like they’re my own. I’ve grown up around dogs and have always had a natural connection with them. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and care. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and comfort levels. Whether that means long walks, playtime, training reinforcement, administering medication, or simply offering calm companionship, I make sure your dog feels safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. In addition to dogs, I also have experience caring for cats and truly enjoy spending time with them as well. I'm sorry to say I was disappointed with our experience. We used Kiersten two weekends in a row and unfortunately had to cut our second weekend short because we no longer felt we could trust the care being provided for our puppy or trust her being in our home. She is a lovely young lady and seemed to genuinely care about our puppy, however, I do not feel she was committed to this specific job as it was outlined to her. I think Kiersten would work well as a dog walker or to let your dog out for potty breaks, but the level of responsibility required to stay in someone's home is not there.
Kiersten was fabulous! My dog loved having her stay with him. When she left, he continued to look at the door...I think he was hoping she would be coming back ? I would highly recommend her as she truly loves and cares for dogs like they are her own.
Kiersten Schwab is a very responsible young college student. She is very caring and loves children and animals. I personally have her watch my two dogs while I am traveling and she does an outstanding job.
