Safety, trust & environment
For hosted pet care in my townhome: Dogs would spend a majority of their time with me in my spare bedroom and/or office, with possible passing exposure to my two resident cats. If they are low prey drive, easily redirected, and/or cat friendly; they may be upstairs with the family (my wife, two cats, and I), but regardless they'll never be alone or without a comfy place to rest. They are more than welcome on furniture, beds, and for cuddles! They would receive regular (every 2-3 hours unless otherwise discussed) potty breaks as well as 2 daily walks - one morning, one evening, if needed and/or desired. Length to be tailored to your pet's needs. Cats would be similar, though they would have their litter box, only stay in one of the two downstairs rooms (to protect all cats in the home), and would receive at least 2x 20-minute play sessions each day in addition to my being in the room with them as long as they're here. In your home: Abide by your instructions, preferences, and requests, with the exception of any fear or punishment based training. I am strongly against the use of these methods in pet parenting. Instead, I focus on a combination of positive reinforcement, trigger avoidance, and redirection.

Information Kieran R. would like to know about your pet
Be prepared to discuss medical concerns and medications, personality quirks, reactivity level, and anything else that would be helpful for me to know so I can provide competent care to your pet.
A typical day
I feel very much that each animal has different preferences, just like humans, and strive to tailor each pet's experience with me to them. Dogs who are especially good sniffers might be treated to nature walks. If they're social butterflies, off to the dog park we go! If they're just couch potatoes who can't stand being alone, then I'll cuddle with them and hang out. The most important thing is that they feel safe, enriched, and loved while away from you - whatever that looks like.

Pet care experience
Note: if you are in need of pet care but can't afford my posted rates, message me anyway. I will provide quality pet care regardless of your budget. I have a passion and innate care for animals of every shape and size. I have personally parented cats, large dogs (incl. "Bully" breeds), hamsters, and fish, and find myself able to learn and adapt to other animals' routines quickly. My most recent accomplishment when it comes to my pets is teaching my younger cat (3yo) to wait for and take his liquid medicine every morning with little complaint. (The freeze-dried pork hearts probably helped) I truly see all animals as mine to love and protect when they are in my care, and would be honored to be trusted with yours.

Thanks for the last minute drop in!

Kieran and Megan did a wonderful job dog sitting for Rosie! They provided photos each day and Rosie was comfortable in their home. Thank you!
Kieeran was great. Responsive, good communication, flexible. She worked hard to connect with my pet--a recent rescue who was very timid. Would highly recommend.

Thanks Kieran for taking such great care of our old girl! Love the updates on her daily routine.
