Availability
Update: I just started a part time job, which is typically an 8 hour shift 3x a week, so some advanced coordination might be needed if your pet needs more often check ins! I am most available daytime on weekdays and on weekends, but can make myself available on evenings if needed, especially for homestays. I can do a lot of my community organizing via laptop from anywhere if extended time is needed with your pets.

Safety, trust & environment
I am very detailed and thorough and will ask owners what their pet’s routines and needs are and try to mimic that as much as possible. I prioritize the safety of your pet and your home at all times, and try to keep your home clean and organized. I like to have a good balance with play time, walks, physical touch, & chill time with pets. I'm a former civil engineer, and currently a community organizer and urban farmer.
Information Kiera U. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pets have any special needs or behaviors/allergies that need to be accounted for and if there's anything else I should know to make your pet feel comfortable.
A typical day
I like being physically active with dogs and playing outside, especially when the weather is nice. I'm comfortable going on walks/runs with the dogs if it's drizzling/raining if the owners are comfortable with them getting a little wet. I typically try to avoid dog parks or off-leash interactions with other dogs while I'm dogsitting unless the owners specifically tell me they want me to. Activities range from walks, jogs, playing chase, and playing with toys to laying on the porch, cuddling, and chilling together in a room.

Pet care experience
I’ve been a dog and cat sitter (also bunnies, chickens, and hamsters) for 7 years and am adaptable to all pets' personalities whether young or old, hyper or anxious. I'm pretty active and have no problem giving your energetic pet exercise with a run around the city or on a short hike, especially if they need to be leashed and kept away from other animals. Many pet owners have relied on me to walk, feed, brush, bathe, and love up on their fur babies when they’re on long trips or just at work. I’m reliable & communicative with their humans, will send lots of pictures, and would only bring a visitor over with permission.
Reviews

Kiera is great! Super communicative, always sending picture updates. It’s such a relief to feel like my pups are in good hands when I have to be away. She handles complex needs like a champ and promptly took my pup to the vet when an issue arose. Thank you for everything!

5 star sitter, per usual. I have booked with Kiera multiple times, and she consistently delivers excellent pet sitting service. My cat loves her ❤️

Kiera always does a great job sitting for my cat. She is communicative and kind. I always come home to a clean house and a happy cat.

Kiera was so good to our dog and home, super communicative and flexible on short notice due to a family emergency, would absolutely book again!
