Having rescued my fur baby as a puppy off of the streets, she’s had her fair share of difficulties. Everyday has been such a blessing to see how far she’s come, and continues to. I have such a firm belief that dogs are truly a man’s best friend, and their greatest companion and deserve all the time and love that they deserve. Just from getting in walks everyday, to intentionally setting time aside to play with them is so important.

About Kiera C.
Safety, trust & environment
In my home, I pretty much hang out with my Blaze as much as I possibly can. Every hour that I’m home, my dog is right by my side. Even when leaving the house my Blaze is in the backseat of my car ready for a road trip. I think to be deserving of a dogs love means putting in the time to treat them with the care they require, whether that time goes to an extra long walk, or play time with the ball, or even making sure she’s getting all the nutrients she needs in her food. How I can for my dog is how I intend to care for any future clients dog, with care and time.
Information Kiera C. would like to know about your pet
I think it’s so important to know as a sitter, if a dog has any particular triggers or behaviors that are out of the ordinary. This can range from behavior toward the mail men or delivery drivers, or just cars in general. Some triggers or stressors can include not liking pets in certain areas, or if a dog is prone to resource guarding just so I can be prepared and treat accordingly. For example, my dog hates feet above all else, and gets very stressed if she’s near feet, or if she’s been pet and someone touches her feet. She is very well trained, and not reactive, but I think it’s important to know these things ahead of time just to make sure every dog is comfortable.
A typical day
I love taking dogs I sit for on runs, well mainly the very active dogs who need to burn off some energy. As long as the owners confirm that it is safe and okay for them to have, I’ve taken them to get pup cups. I would obviously never do this without checking and verifying with the owners first. My dog loves pup cups and I make sure that they are a very rare treat. I love just a came of fetch, with a frisbee or tennis ball. My dog is seriously obsessed with frisbees, even though she does have a habit of chewing them up, they’re her favorite game after a walk. I have met some rather introverted dogs too, who don’t particularly enjoy long walks or very active games more than occasionally. So in my experience they are more content with just hanging out on my lap or just getting some pets with the tv on, and I am of course ready to treat every dog accordingly and not force them out of their shell with activities or games they don’t prefer.

Pet care experience
I was a hands on member in my own dogs professional training, and I have taken care of friends and family’s dogs of all ages and breeds so there’s really nothing I haven’t seen before. That being said, I am well-versed in the high demand and needs of puppies and can confidently say that I am trained to care for them and all the hurdles that they entail.
Reviews
I've trusted my good friend Kiera to watch my dog multiple times, and she's always been incredibly responsible, attentive, and caring. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and kind to care for their pet.
Kiera is great with animals of all sizes and ages, she has been helping us with our Bernie-doodle Langston since he was a year old. A very reliable caretaker and always happy to help out when needed. She loves animals and ours seems to love her back just as much!
Kiera is a very responsible, respectful and kind dog walker. She is loving and adores our dogs who at times can be overwhelming. We are very lucky to have her available for us.
