Active, caring dog boarder
I’m best suited to high-energy dogs who love long adventures. We’ll cover around 10 miles a day together, so your pup will come home happy and relaxed! I’ve loved dogs since childhood and have always been the one family and friends turn to for training and pet sitting. They used to ask, “How do you get them to listen?” my secret is simple... I become their favourite person! Over the years I’ve cared for and trained a variety of breeds, Huskies, a Malamute, Pocket Bully, Labradors (retriever, golden and red fox), Jack Russell, and a Cockapoo. Each one has taught me something new about communication, exercise, and fun. I’m naturally responsible and organised, and I waited until I could provide a truly loving, stable home before getting my own dog. My dog Iola has been with me for four years. She’s friendly, calm, and very well-behaved. Her family nickname is “Iolly-Goody-Four-Paws.” She walks beautifully off-leash at my heel unless I release her for a run and sniff. I will accept same day bookings in a pinch, but ideally one week’s notice is better for bookings so we can arrange a proper meet up and make sure your dog is comfortable and happy from day one.

Arlo had just as much of a holiday as we dif with her stay with Kier and Iola! The daily updates, pictures and videos of the walking antics / playtime / accidental swim in the canal 😀, gave us peace of mind that Arlo was in very safe hands and being well looked after. We will definitely be recommending Kier to friends and family and I’m sure Arlo will be visiting for a stay again in the future :)!
Excellent care for our Labrador we would definitely use him again.
Kier gave us and our spaniel a brilliant service. Nothing was too much trouble including a short notice extra night tagged on. Our regular updates and pictures were great for the family to see the fun and exercise Belle was having. From the moment I met Kier I could see he was a true dog lover and that our little dog would be in great hands. Thank you again.

Schedule
My schedule is flexible, and I plan my volunteering and work around the dogs I care for. I make sure each guest dog gets a consistent daily routine with plenty of walks, play, and rest. I’m often available during weekdays and weekends, and I do my best to accommodate different drop-off and pick-up times. Just let me know what you need. I’ll always be honest about my availability so we can find the best fit for your dog.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a bright, comfortable flat with a securely fenced garden, so dogs can enjoy some safe outdoor time between walks. I take every guest dog out for three walks a day, plenty of exercise, play, and fresh air. We’re surrounded by open green spaces, perfect for exploring. If your dog is trustworthy off the lead, we’ll enjoy games of Frisbee and free runs (always with your permission). My dog Iola is a friendly, playful companion who loves making new friends and joining for walkies. Indoors, dogs are welcome to relax on the sofa and be part of the family. If your dog prefers their own space, I’m happy to crate them in my bedroom at night to help them feel secure and comfortable. I treat every dog like my own, with patience, structure, and plenty of affection. Safety is always the top priority, then freedom and comfort.

A typical day
A typical day with me is active, structured, and full of fun. We start the morning with a good walk to stretch our legs and explore the local green spaces. During the day there is plenty of playtime, including frisbee sessions, cuddles, and enrichment games to keep your dog happy and stimulated. I usually cover around 10 miles of walking each day, so your dog will get plenty of healthy exercise and fresh air. After our adventures, there is time for rest and relaxation. Dogs are welcome to nap on the sofa or in their crate, whichever makes them most comfortable. I can also brush their teeth and do light grooming if your dog enjoys it. We finish the day with a calm evening walk and quiet time before bed, so they settle easily and sleep soundly.
