I am currently working full time, and am able to tend to pets who can go 6-8 hours without a potty break. Because of my job as an Animal Control Officer I am primarily driving around all day, which can allow me to swing by during the day to spend some extra time with your pet! Slower months, like winter, may even allow me a few hours of down time I can use to hang out with them at home! Please feel free to ask me what I could do to accommodate your babies needs!

When staying with pets in others home, I am thorough in the questions I ask to make sure I have all the necessary information to care for the animal(s) in the home to the best of my ability. I am always sure to discuss ground rules and expectation so that I am being as respectful of your space as possible, and not crossing any boundaries. I am flexible when considering extra steps/requests/or care instructions given by owners to keep babies in as much of their routine as possible, and confidently say that they get the same kind of lovin they would from you!

I am confident that my ability to work with a vast genre of breeds and temperaments is true to itself. Having a good amount of information regarding your pet is crucial so I can enter the relationship with your pet correctly. Disabilities, triggers, aggressions, or allergies is important to provide the best service I can to such an important part of the family. Anything that may help create a bond between the pet and I is the most important part of this job.
A typical day
I consider myself pretty involved with the outdoors. If your pup loves walks I will make sure they get good exercise and outside time. Being outside has always been something to bring me joy and I would love nothing more but to involve your pet in that part of my life! Is your pup a on the couch potato side? Maybe a little old and likes sleeping more than getting a work out in? That's fine! I also always love to hang out in the sun, so if you have a back yard you can bet me and you pup will be hangin back there as much as possible! I am just as content getting some exercise by rubbing bellies!

Pet care experience
I have worked with animals since 2018, and have been animal obsessed since I could formulate a thought. I am very educated in animal behavior, health, training, and overall care. I am employed as an Animal Control Officer through The Nebraska Humane Society, so welfare of animals is always my top priority. I am very adamant about the best care possible. I treat every pet like it’s my own. I moved to Nebraska from Maine, where I worked at an Animal Hospital and learned most of my skills. I know what to look for and how to handle every variety of pet. I am good with medications and assuring you as an owner, that your pet will get everything it needs to be healthy. I have also worked in a variety of boarding, and daycare facilities. In these jobs I learned several ways to care for pets, giving me options to work around all those different temperaments. I also know the basic bathing of pets. I love animals more than anything. And I know if I left my pet in the care of someone else, I would want nothing but the best, and that is what I can promise you I will give to your furry family members!

This is the…I think third? time Kiana has watched my pups, and as always I was very happy! (Sorry, calendars and time are something I struggle with! I’m nearly positive it was the third time). The dogs were happy and healthy when I got home and the house was super clean. I would definitely recommend her!
This was the second time Kiana watched my pups, and I had no worries about leaving them under her care! They were very happy and healthy when I got home, already planning on booking her again.
One of my dogs is a…special boy. He’s cautious around new people, doesn’t like other dogs, and generally neurotic. But he got along great with Kiana, I would definitely recommend her, especially if you also have a reactive dog!
Kiana was amazing with our Millie! She was patient when Millie needed extra time and shared updates throughout the stay. We're so grateful for Kiana and her attentiveness to Millie's needs. 😁
