Pet care experience
Will love your animals like my own!
I have lived with and owned dogs and cats for my entire life, having experience with a wide variety of breeds across their lifespan. I also have 2 years of rover sitting experience and had repeat bookings with owners and their pets when I was actively seeking clients. I am available to care for dogs before and after work on weekdays (work hours are 8am-4:30pm), and all hours on weekends. If simple grooming tasks are required/desired (bathing, brushing fur, brushing teeth) I am comfortable doing that! I currently have an 8 year old lab/pointer mix, Charlie. He is my baby and I raised him from four months old so I am comfortable with puppy care, and also adapted to the more relaxed and calm demeanors of older dogs.

Kia did a wonderful job. She even fed my fish and took the time to brush my cat which is so important to her. She sent me great pictures as well. Really enjoyed my vacation so much more because Kia always updated me on how things were going with my pets. Will definitely use her again.

I am in the routine of caring for my dog with feedings, walks, and playtimes in the morning before work and after work, with ample time together on the weekends. I can easily incorporate your baby into my routine to make sure they are well cared for, as if they were my own pet.

Safety, trust & environment
I make sure I have reliable transportation to get to and from, and will be available at a moment's notice if need be. I understand the stress of leaving your beloved pet in the care of another person and would want you to feel as comfortable as possible with being away from them. It is essential to me that they remain safe and well-loved until you are reunited with them. I am comfortable working in homes that have cameras and would take as many pictures and videos as you want! In terms of safety during feedings, I know to keep dogs separated as to prevent any food aggression altercations. For walks, I will always use harnesses and leashes appropriately and be vigilant of our surroundings. If there is outside time in a fenced area, I always triple check that all gates or doors are locked and secure before allowing the dogs outside.

A typical day
A typical day is waking up and giving some love to my boy Charlie and any other pets that I am working to take care of at the time. I get out of bed and immediately give him his breakfast and fresh water, followed by a morning walk for the both of us. When I get inside, I make my coffee and get ready for the work day. As soon as I am done with work, my first stop is home to care for Charlie and any other pets in my care and spend some quality time with them. I will manage chores outside of the home in a responsible way that is fair to the animals in my life. For Charlie, dinner time is 7:30PM on the dot (and he won't let me forget!) where I give him his food with some additional pumpkin puree that I found helps his digestion in his older age (a trick I learned from other pet owners through rover sitting for all these years!) After that is bed time and personally, I always let my dog sleep in bed with me. Anyone else's pets are more than welcome to cuddle up with me if they are comfortable with that during my time with them!

For instance, I know my dog Charlie is afraid of bicycles and small children (due to limited socialization with them as he grew up) so I always make sure to give him extra support and be careful in situations where he is exposed to those factors. Are there any health considerations when caring for your animal? Some animals have gastrointestinal or other concerns that need some additional attention. I want to make sure I return your pet as healthy as when they came into my care! What are their favorite toys or activities? Whatever I can do to make your animals time with me more enjoyable and comfortable is a big help for a smooth experience.
