I've had two senior dogs over the years. My first was a GSD mix with a front leg amputation and he taught me a lot about caring for a senior dog. My second was a Chihuahua mix who loved going to beach volleyball games with me. I have also taken care of the pets of friends in their homes and mine this includes a Lab who had emergency major abdominal surgery the day before his family went on a month-long vacation. My current job doesn't leave much time for having a pet full time but I still take care of friends' pets when my schedule allows.
