Dogs are the Best People
I raised my first Golden Retriever, Finn, from 8 weeks old until he passed away at age 14. For eight years I had Finn, and his rescue-dog-mix sister until she passed at age 14. I now have a Golden Retriever puppy, and we are working on our training together. He would love another dog friend in the house on occasion. I love dogs, their unique personalities, and the joy they bring. I will treat your best friend the same as I treat my best friend.

Great experience as always!
My boyfriend and I left our 6-month old puppy, Lily, with Kevin and Finn over Labor Day Weekend and we couldn't have been happier with our experience! We had only had Lily for 2-3 weeks at the time that we boarded her, so needless to say we were a little nervous about the whole thing. Lily was still working on her house training at the time, which was definitely a cause of concern for other hosts we had reached out to. The first time we met Kevin we knew his laid back personality was a perfect match for what we were looking for. Lily was immediately at home at Kevin's apartment. She had a small accident within the first few minutes, and Kevin didn't even seem phased - it was obvious he had dealt with puppy behavior before! Kevin and Finn took Lily to dog parks for some exercise, and provided pictures and updates at least twice a day (if not more). Kevin was also extremely flexible about the times we dropped her off and picked her up, working around our flight schedule. Also Lily and Finn got along perfectly and I think Lily definitely missed their wrestling matches after we brought her back home! I would definitely recommend Kevin to anyone looking for a host that will treat your dog as their own while you're away, and we definitely plan to make reservations with him again in the future.
I was so pleased with my decision to leave Duke with Kevin! I was nervous about leaving my dog for the weekend as I am new to the DC area and, like many pet owners, my dog is my baby. Kevin was incredibly friendly and reassuring. Duke had an amazing weekend playing with Kevin's dog Finn, and came home happy and tired. I was sent updates and photos throughout the weekend about how Duke was assimilating on his "vacay". Kevin asked all the essential questions about my dog's potential needs and was incredibly accommodating to my travel schedule for drop off and pick up times! Next time I have to leave town, Kevin will be the first person I ask as a pet sitter!
Kevin and Finn were wonderful hosts for my dog Buddy, and I could tell from all the updates I received that he was having a great time. It was also great because he was pooped from all the playing so after I picked him up I was able to unpack and do my laundry while he snoozed! I'm definitely planning to make future reservations with Kevin and would recommend him to anyone.

Harmonogram
I work from home so your dog will be with me all day, except for the occasions where I have to run errands, appointments etc., or if I am headed anywhere dogs are not allowed to tag along. That said, I wouldn't be away from the dogs more than a few hours at a time.

Dogs have several dog beds to lay on in the common areas. I have a fenced back yard with space for your dog to roam and romp. Lots of shade trees to cool off and nap under. If it’s a hot day I might fill the doggy pool for them to splash in. Your pup will get lots of love, pets, and cuddles.

My puppy requires a lot of attention, and we are working on his obedience training, so your dog would get to participate in any of that fun stuff, along with general play, fetch, tug, or any walks we go on.
