Pet care fits easily into our routine because I work from home and my partner works part‑time, so there is always someone at home. This means dogs are never left alone, get plenty of attention, and can enjoy regular playtime, and a calm, consistent environment throughout the day.

It’s really important for us to have as much information about your pet as possible so we can give them the best care. This includes anything you’d like us to reinforce, their usual meal times, any medications they need, and any routines or preferences that matter to them. The more detail you share, the smoother and happier their stay will be.
A typical day
A typical day starts with a friendly hello and a short walk to get your dog moving and settled. After breakfast, we enjoy some calm time together, cuddles, company, and a bit of gentle enrichment depending on what they enjoy. Throughout the day there will be plenty of fetch, toys, puzzle games, and a little training practice. I always match activities to each dog’s personality and energy level, and of course I keep them topped up with water, treats, and lots of positive attention. Evenings are for winding down with a slow, sniff‑filled walk, a little play, and then helping them settle comfortably for the night.

Pet care experience
We’ve had dogs all our lives and currently care for two of our own, so we’re confident handling all ages, sizes, and personalities. We also foster dogs until they find their forever homes, which has given us hands‑on experience with nervous dogs, unsure rescues, and dogs with behavioural challenges. Through fostering and personal experience, we’ve become comfortable administering medications, building trust with anxious dogs, and creating calm, safe routines for pets who need extra patience and reassurance.

We could not be happier with the care Mabel received from Kevin & Caroline! After a great initial meet and greet, we booked her in for a 4-night stay. Mabel loved her time with her new doggy friends - Benji & Dusty. It was immediately obvious how much Kevin & Caroline love and care for animals—Mabel was treated just like one of the family from the moment she arrived. Receiving regular photo updates gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Mabel came home happy, settled, and well-cared for.
