I’ve been dog sitting for friends and strangers alike ever since I graduated and moved to DC in 2019! It all started because I had such a deep love for dogs, but was not yet ready to have one of my own. Nowadays, I share an adorable little mutt with my boyfriend, and we split the care for her fairly evenly. Because of this, if you’re interested in boarding your pet, they need to be friendly with other dogs; ours absolutely LOVES them. Otherwise, I am happy to pet sit at your residence. Additionally, I have experience with elderly dog care and will cater to whatever their needs are.

Kerstyn took great care of our pup Jane! We received daily updates plus photos. Jane also loved playing with Freya! One thing we appreciated was Kerstyn’s patience with Jane, who is slightly anxious and needs a little time to get used to new situations.
She’s so sweet and will update you throughout the day! We were nervous because this was mango’s first time away from home, but she made this process smooth and easy

Schedule
I’m a full-time corporate girlie with a flexible, hybrid work schedule. I’m normally in the office 2-3 days/week, but can work from home the entire duration of your pet’s stay, if that is desired. I’m happy to work with you to create the exact level of care and attention you desire for your doggo.

Your pet would have free rein of the house while we’re home and would be kept in a separate room/ crate than our dog when we’re away. We do have a yard, although it’s not fenced in, so we let our dog run around on a 50 ft leash in the backyard; we could do the same for your dog!

A typical day
I would love to discuss with you the exact kind of care you would like for your pup! My default is two 30-min walks a day, one in the morning, one in the evening; a little bit of person-to-pup play time throughout the day with any toys provided; and doggie play time as they please, either inside or outside.
