Safety, trust & environment

Whether it be the timing of feedings, or medication administration, or potty break schedules/clean up, even plant care, I can assist in making each stay as close to daily life as possible by following instructions left by you!

Information Keri W. would like to know about your pet

I like to know if your pet has dietary needs and restrictions, reactivity (many of my clients are reactive and I love them dearly - I just want to respect their safe zones and know any potential triggers so I can build healthy relationships with them over time,) activity levels, medication needs, etc.

A typical day

For overnights - I wake up (early riser,) potty break, breakfast, another potty break or walk. Many afternoon snuggles. Potty breaks as needed, play sessions in between and then dinner for your pet, another potty break and some play or snuggles before bedtime! I can also provide lunch or other additions, and depending on your pets needs/location, I can take your dogs on safe walks, play with toys or give lots of pets! We can walk along the beach or sniff some trees, romp and play in the backyard, curl up on the couch, whatever your pup likes to do - I'm excited to do it with them. I am friendly with sharing my sleeping space with them when staying in your home, transporting pups in my car if you'd like, or can keep them on your property or in your neighborhood too! For non overnight clients (Drop ins) - I can come and go based on time frames needed and provide feedings or any care you may need.

Pet care experience

Since I was a young child, I've worked for my parents at their Pet Care Facility in Pennsylvania. When I was 14, I began in-home care for dogs of ALL breeds as well as cats (which I'm a parent of myself) and various small animals. This included overnight stays, drop ins, and walks and have continued doing it ever since, including when I moved to Salem, MA years ago - realizing there is an immense need for educated and experienced sitters! I am now back to living in Selinsgrove to continue caring for animals in my hometown and I can't imagine doing anything else. Working with animals, I've been hands on with many different types of animals. I've done coursework on Dog Reactivity, Fear Based Aggression, Positive Reinforcement and am highly comfortable and satisfied with not only my knowledge but hands on experience with successful connections between handler and client. Many of my current clients are reactive in some way, and I am completely willing to go at their pace and comfortability in forming a relationship that benefits their enjoyment when being cared for by me. I like to leave the homes I stay in as clean, if not cleaner, than when I arrive. I'm able to follow instructions clearly, whether it be plant watering, cleaning, medication administration, or following training protocol you may follow. I work with all animals, and love them all equally, though my main clientele are Dogs and Cats. I have cared for dogs who are 100 pounds + as well as very shy cats who eventually come to be comfortable with my presence in their space. I'm patient and view your pets like I view my own - with absolute love. Feel free to ask me any questions on my experience/availability. I will respond as quickly as possible.

Keri stayed at our house with our quirky geriatric pup and chunky kitty and they had a blast! I’m an anxious pet owner and it was so nice to not have to worry while we were gone because I knew Keri had everything under control!
