Pet care experience

dog hair is the best accessory

I have been looking after dogs for as long as I remember, I was raised around them. I have a lot of experience in many different breeds such as pugs, bulldogs, rottweilers, bloodhounds, shepards, chihuahuas, shitzus and many more! I have experience in bathing dogs, giving oral medication or cream antibiotics, ear cleaning and wrinkle cleaning. I have looked after a wide age range of dogs from puppies to seniors and have loved every minute of it.

Kenny and her partner were fantastic with our rescue from India. He's 5 and can be reactive and anxious, but they had the knowledge and experience to watch him with no hesitation (which was very relieving to me!). I got updates and photos that Cooper was enjoying his time with them, so I never had to worry :)

Kenny made are first time using Rover so easy by responding quickly to our messages and was super flexible with pick up time. Our dog was well cared for by Kenny and her partner. I would definitely recommend her to others and would rebook again. Thank you Kenny for a positive experience for Moose and his parents.

I just can't say enough good things about our sitters. I always know my little buddy is well cared for and loved when I'm away. It is such a relief to find kind and caring people that take such good care of my Tux when I need to travel. 5++ stars

This couple &!sitter are outstanding. Kenny is Such warmhearted dog lover, she sent me photos & reassurance daily. We have a deaf rescue dog so he can be a anxious to new people, he was at ease right away. That’s a sign of intuition. .. couldn’t recommend her more!🥰🐶

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I am currently working part time as a support worker with a very flexible schedule. Each morning I will walk and feed the dog before going into work, the dog will be home for no more than 4 hours. I am also able to bring the dog to work somedays as well which includes going for hikes, walks or baths as we would do dog based outings with the client of that day. I am always home for dinner and do not tend to go out too much, if I do I intend to bring the dog with me!

Safety, trust & environment

Our apartment does not have a yard but I make sure to give the dogs a walk as soon as I wake up, and multiple times throughout the day after that as well as right before bed. I like to make sure the dogs are stimulated and have used the bathroom so they can feel comfortable inside. I sometimes take the dogs with permission to Bosleys for a bath or to get a treat. The dogs usually sleep in our bed unless they prefer otherwise. I respect a dogs need for attention and also wanting to be left alone. I love to be around them and cuddle them or play with them as much as I can, I genuinely enjoy every second of it. When left at home I always remove a dogs collar to ensure their safety. I also keep all things edible and not out of reach just in case. It is our duty as their humans to protect and look out for them, I never want to put a dog in any harmful situation. I am willing to do whatever I can to make the owner and dog as comfortable as possible.

A typical day

The day starts with breakfast and a walk before we chill for a bit, depending on if I have work that day. I love to bring the pups out and about to work if I can! A nice walk or drive and playing with toys if the dog enjoys that! I also love taking them to pick a treat at the store when they first arrive as a welcome gift. Once we are home or if they have been home I will take them outside and depending on time, feed them dinner. After dinner they get another walk. A nightly cuddle on the couch is always in order before our last walk of the evening. After that they can sleep with me unless they prefer a kennel or their own bed/space.

If they are on any medication, if they have allergies, are they reactive with humans or dogs, food schedule and anything else the owner wants me to know! The more I know about the pup the more I can accommodate their needs.
