SCHEDULE: I currently have the flexibility to do check-ins, walks and have play time with your fur babies as needed. I currently take an online class so I spend most of my time studying. If I do leave the house, it’s to run an errand, go to the gym or volunteer. I limit my time away from your pet to no more than 6 hours (if that doesn't work for your pet, we can discuss my constant care rate). Before I leave your home, I will make sure that your fur baby has been fed, played with/exercised, and has relieved themselves.

Safety, trust & environment

SAFETY: •To keep both myself and your pet safe, they will always be leashed in public spaces. •If pets under my care seem to be adapting well, with owner permission, I like to take them on "field trips" to places like the park, on hikes or to my house. •I live in a house with a secure, fenced yard for your pup to play in. I only take one client at a time and we don't have any other pets so your pet will be showered in all the love and belly scratches my roommates have to offer! POLICIES: • Every client must either have a credit card on file with their preferred vet and/or feel comfortable with providing a form of payment that I can use on your behalf if a vet visit is necessary. • Every client must agree to disclose whether they have pet cams/live surveillance of their house and where these cameras are located. SLIDING SCALE RATES: • If you find that my rates are inaccessible to you, we can negotiate to find a rate that works within your budget while also respecting my expertise. I use the green bottle theory (fourth photo on my profile) to help determine sliding scale rates. • Conversation regarding this is facilitated during our M&G (meet and greet) upon request. • Always available for QTBIPOC clients!

Information Kendra L. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet has specific needs or any behaviors/quirks I need to look out for. If your pet is reactive, expect similar questions like these during our M&G: • What are their triggers (i.e. barking dogs, small animals, strollers, men, etc.)? • What is the threshold for your pet's reactivity? Does crossing the street help? • What does their reactivity look like? What is the intensity of the reactions?

A typical day

HOUSESITS: •Your fur baby will get fed their meals at their scheduled times, have at least 30 mins of walk/play time a day, and will have me with them in your home throughout the night. • I try to stick to your pet’s current schedule and meet them where they're at to reduce any chance of additional stress from your absence. I like to know what your pet’s favorite activities, games/toys and spots to get pet are are so we can bond and build a trusting relationship. I understand the importance of physical and mental stimulation for animals and want to make sure your pet has plenty of it while under my care! •Every update from me includes how their behavior has been since your absence, their appetite, how their bowel movements are, what they have done throughout the day and of course, all the cute photos and videos I've captured! •I take care of your home while you’re away too! I will gladly collect mail, take out trash bins, water any plants and do basic cleaning (I.e. sweeping, vacuuming, disinfecting) with your supplies. If sheets and towels are provided, they will be laundered prior to your return.

Pet care experience

Hi there, I’m Kendra (she/they). I grew up always having pets around... They have always been considered a part of our family! I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all temperaments, breeds and sizes. My senior and medical care experience sets me apart from other pet sitters! I used to work in healthcare *for humans* so I am comfortable with medical-related matters. EXPERIENCED WITH: • Cats • Dog reactivity • Separation anxiety • Senior animals • Animals with medical needs and/or disabilities (specifically wheelchair support, diaper changes, bladder expression, medicine administration, allergies, vision & hearing loss)

Kendra was everything we could have hoped for in a house/dog sitter. She was extremely professional and communicative, left our house in good shape, and quickly won over our often skeptical Germans shepherd and gave her great care. Look forward to booking again!

Kendra was wonderful to work with! She took time to meet with us and to learn about our not-so-happy-with-separation pitbull, Johnny. Both the dog and our home were so well taken care of. Kendra sent daily updates and was always responsive. I would recommend her a 100%!

Kendra was courteous, kind and patient with both our dogs (including our reactive, old grumpy guy) and a great friend to our cat too. We're grateful for her help and look forward to rebooking.

Kendra is a true pro! She took her time to get to know all of my dog’s behaviors and was so patient with him (and me) as we began to work with one another. My dog is not an easy one, but he took to her almost immediately. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her over the weekend. And she was great about sending updates. Definitely recommend her!
