I currently work part-time as an animal care technician. So, I'm professionally trained on how to read animals' behavioral cues, understand signs of stress, and ensure comfort in unfamiliar environments. My husband works from home full-time and cares for the animals while I'm at work. Rest assured, they will never be alone for more than 2-4 hours during their stay with me. We go on walks three times a day (15 minutes each) and I feed them twice a day. During our meet and greet, I will also ask you about your own schedule with your dog to make sure I accommodate.

My home is a dog paradise! I have a very spacious 2.6k square foot, two-story, 4 bedroom home with a fenced backyard with ample shade. The dogs are supervised 24/7, whether they're relaxing in my office with me, or sleeping in my room on their own dog bed. I have two twin-sized beds designated for dogs, crates for most sizes, 8 queen-sized soft blankets specifically for dogs (sherpa wool and fleece), and lots of toys and bones for them to play with. IMPORTANT: I cannot accept dogs who are not friendly with cats or small dogs. Specifically, if they are known to chase, bark at, swat or corner them.

Before I accept a booking, I send a brief description of my services and request that pet parents complete a quick survey so I can collect the necessary information on how to best care for your pets. After a brief text exchange, I will let you know if we are a compatible fit and be able to book same day.

One of the great benefits of having your animal taken care of by a professional is that, if they're good, they treat it as a job. To me, this means devoting myself to caring for your animal in a way that many owners can't with their own full-time jobs and pressing responsibilities. I hold myself to a high standard with everything that I do and believe all animals deserve competent, compassionate care.

I had high hopes for working with Kendra. Communication leading up to the booking was consistent, and she seemed responsible and kind. Unfortunately, the night before my trip, she didn’t show up at the agreed time to pick up my house keys and stopped responding to messages and calls. This created a very stressful situation since I was leaving for a business trip early the next morning and had no backup sitter in place. Several hours later, Kendra reached out to say she had developed a severe allergic reaction and ended up in the hospital. I’m genuinely sorry she went through that, but I wish she (or someone on her behalf) had communicated sooner so I could have made other arrangements. Rover support did their best to assist, but the timing made it nearly impossible to find a replacement. I hope she’s doing better now, but I would encourage future clients to have a clear backup plan in case of last-minute emergencies.
I am so grateful I have a place where my dog feels safe while I travel.
