I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and any special needs so I can provide care that's as consistent as possible with what they're used to at home. I always follow feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication instructions, and any household guidelines provided by the owner. During walks and visits, I prioritize safety by using secure leashes and harnesses, avoiding unsafe situations, and paying close attention to each dog's comfort and behavior. If I'm caring for pets in a client's home, I'll treat both their pet and their home with the same respect and care I would my own. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can relax knowing their pet is happy, safe, and in good hands.

I also ask about their comfort level with other animals, leash habits, and any training cues or house rules so I can provide consistent care and keep them safe, comfortable, and relaxed while their owner is away. - How are they with other dogs? - Are they fully house trained? - Leash behavior (pulling, reactive, or behaved off-leash)? - Have they ever been aggressive towards other dogs or humans? - Any allergies or dietary restrictions? - What’s their feeding schedule? - What’s their bathroom routine (how often, any unique signals)? - House rules (any off limit areas)? - Commands/ training cues they respond to? - Preferred Vet contact info just in case!
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I like to tailor the day to their personality, energy level, and routine. For active dogs, that might mean long walks, games of fetch, tug-of-war, or exploring a new trail or neighborhood. For more relaxed pets, I'm just as happy to spend time cuddling on the couch, giving belly rubs, or enjoying a quiet stroll. I also make sure pets get plenty of mental enrichment through play, treats (if approved), and lots of one-on-one attention. My goal is to keep them happy, engaged, and comfortable while maintaining the routine they're used to. Of course, you'll receive plenty of photo updates so you can see all the fun we're having together! 🐾
