Hi! 🐾 I’m a lifelong animal lover with 6+ years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats! I started my career in animal care as a veterinary receptionist, eventually working my way into kennel care and hands-on animal handling. I wanted to take my experience even further, so I went back to school and graduated as an Approved Veterinary Assistant in January 2025. I’m also a Certified Professional Groom Technician, giving me experience with everything from everyday pet care to grooming and handling. Over the years, I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels — from tiny couch potatoes to giant breeds and everything in between. Shy, nervous, or rescue dogs are absolutely no problem for me! I’m patient and comfortable letting pets warm up to me at their own pace. High-energy pups, timid dogs, counter surfers, goofy troublemakers… I’ve probably met one like them! 😂 I’ve also cared for plenty of cats, including the sweet ones and the spicy kitties who prefer to keep their humans on their toes. 😹 I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, and I take their safety, comfort, and routine seriously. I genuinely love what I do and feel incredibly lucky that caring for animals is something I get to do for a living. When your pets are with me, they’ll get plenty of attention, patience, love, and care — and probably a few extra treats and belly rubs along the way. 💕🐾

Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first! 🐾 With 6+ years of hands-on animal-care experience, including veterinary medicine, boarding, daycare, grooming, and pet sitting, I’m comfortable caring for pets with all kinds of personalities and needs. When caring for pets in their home, I follow their normal routines as closely as possible, including feeding, medications or special instructions, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I’m respectful of your home and treat it with the same care I would my own. I also make sure doors, gates, and other areas are secure so pets stay safe while I’m there. I know that some pets are nervous around new people, so I never force interaction. I’m patient and allow them to warm up to me at their own pace. I pay close attention to their behavior and will communicate with you if I notice anything unusual or concerning. My goal is for your pets to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for while you’re away — and for you to have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. 💕🐶🐱

Would highly recommend Nikki! She pet sit for us over the 4th of July weekend and was phenomenal! She provided detailed reports, photos, and took extra time when our dog was anxious due to fireworks.
I worked with Nicki at Rocket City Veterinary Hospital and observed her first hand caring for healthy and sick animals. I witnessed her provide excellent care and best medicine to many animals of all kinds. She is caring, attentive, thorough and kind. I can tell that she has a deep love for animals and genuinely enjoys caring for them in every way. I would highly recommend her to others and trust her with my own animals. She is overall a wonderful person and caretaker!
Kendall (Nicki) was absolutely great! I have a dog with high anxiety and get nervous leaving him with others, but circumstances required it. I was worried he wouldn’t do well for her, but she kept me updated and gave me the peace of mind I needed. My dog did GREAT with her, guy didn’t even seem to miss me haha. I came back to a healthy, happy dog (and cats - but I wasn’t really worried about them) and our new recommended pet sitter! 100% would use her again and pretty sure my dog has a new best friend!

Schedule
Pet care is a big part of my life, and I’m fortunate to have a very flexible schedule! I’m generally available throughout the week and am happy to work with your pet’s individual routine and needs. Whether you need regular visits, occasional care, or help while you’re out of town, I’m happy to be there for your pets. 🐾 I love being able to make pet care part of my everyday routine, and I’m always excited to meet a new furry friend!

- Before caring for your pet, I like to know as much as possible about their normal routine, personality, and individual needs. 🐾 Helpful things to know include their feeding schedule, medications or medical needs, exercise routine, favorite toys or activities, bathroom habits, and anything that helps them feel comfortable. I also like to know how they typically react to new people, other animals, loud noises, being left alone, or anything else that may make them nervous. For dogs, I’d especially like to know about leash manners, recall, escape tendencies, and any behaviors I should be aware of. For cats, I’d love to know their hiding spots, litter-box routine, and whether they’re friendly, shy, or a little spicy. 😹 Most importantly, please tell me anything you think would help me keep your pet safe, happy, and comfortable. No detail is too small when it comes to your fur baby! 💕🐶🐱
