Therefore, I lead with an empathetic approach, where I strive to meet animals where they are at, while also providing the best possible care. It is also my priority to make sure your expectations as an owner are met, so I look forward to discussing these details with you beforehand. My experience: Beyond my passion for animal welfare, what truly sets me apart from other sitters is my professional experience working as a pet caregiver. I have previously worked as an employee for two different petcare companies, where I received training and certification on pet behavior, pet care and first aid. My positions allowed me to carry out various petcare services, such as dog walking, pet sitting, overnight stays, developing individualized pet behavior plans, and administering medications (oral and injections). During my employment, I worked primarily with dogs and cats, but also occasionally with exotic birds, chickens, and rodents. This experience allowed me to work with many different pets, ranging from newborn puppies and kittens, to disabled and/or senior pets (some of who are pictured above). Beyond my professional experience working with pets, I have also been caring for the pets of several family and friends since I was a teenager. Additionally, I have spent years volunteering for several animal rescue organizations, including a dog/cat adoption center, an exotic bird sanctuary, and a farm animal sanctuary in Ireland. In these roles, I worked directly with pets and animals to help rehabiltiate them and find them forever homes. I have truly enjoyed my work in the previously described positions, and would be more than happy to further discuss my qualifications with you :)
