My schedule is flexible which means that I can spend a majority of my day caring for your pet(s). I may need to step away for errands or other part time work/drop-ins as needed but I am never away for too long. I will always consider your pet's particular needs for how I arrange my daily schedule.

I cannot offer daycare or boarding at my home at this time but I am happy to provide drop-ins, housesitting and walks! Please carefully read about my pet care services, policies and terms prior to booking with me. Meet and Greets are typically around 15-40 mins depending on the service and complexity. This meeting is where we find if it’s a good fit for both parties prior to booking. We typically go over pet care, behaviors/quirks, home instructions, expectations etc. For safety, it is important that pups become familiar with me before the date where I will be entering their space when pet parents are not present. I provide pet care in the Placerville/Camino/Pollock Pines area and nearby communities. Please understand that while very local communities such as Swansboro are as default part of my service map, I might not accept appointments in areas that require driving long, winding or unsafe roads. Please understand that I prefer to not take these appointments for safety reasons. House Sitting: I will care for your pet like they are my very own and hope that my presence will ease any anxieties, create comfort, happiness and peace of mind for both pet and owner. I follow instructions closely and respect any house rules such as no pets on furniture, what time you prefer feedings, etc. I am clean and tidy and will respect your space during the entirety of my stay, keeping up with light housekeeping in the areas I will be using. During my stay, I am more than happy to help with small tasks if requested such as bringing in mail, watering house plants. For full disclosure, I do have a mild cat allergy but it has never affected my ability to provide drop-ins or housesitting. I have even worked at a vet clinic where this was never an issue. I'm able to prepare ahead for longer stays and can provide full, safe care for your cats. A printed sheet of instructions is helpful especially if you have more than one pet with different schedule or needs. It is important that I am left with more than one contact and any veterinary info if an emergency with your pet were to ever arise. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing is very important to me and I make sure to address any concerns if something comes up during my stay. For my safety and privacy: Per Rover policy, Pet owners must "Disclose security cameras and other recording devices in or around your home. They are prohibited in private areas, such as bedrooms and bathrooms that you have designated for the use of your pet care provider". For me, this rule aslo applies to any kind of "pet cam" especially if it is not so obvious such as a cam feeder bowl or baby monitor. I want to be able to fully focus on your pets while respecting privacy when I stay overnight so I ask that cameras only be used to monitor your pets. I am more than happy to provide pictures and updates during stays. Please note that by booking housesitting with me, you agree to this privacy condition. Drop-ins: A 30 minute visit which includes feeding, potty break, medication administration if needed and photo updates. If your pet requires a little extra time and attention, you can book an additional 30 minutes. A printed sheet of instructions is helpful especially if you have more than one pet with a different schedule or needs. Dog Walking: You can book 30 mins or an hour and you will be able to see a map of the walk. I am happy to provide pictures during the outing as well.
Information Kendall M. would like to know about your pet
If your dog has any particular behaviors, takes medications or is in need of any additional irregular care, that should be discussed before any scheduled visit. Examples of additional care would be if your pet tends to relieve themselves in the home frequently, needs care during odd "sleeping" hours on a regular basis, etc.
A typical day
I will always look for fun activities to do with your pet like play in your yard, fetch, use a snuffle rug if you have one or just play with them with their favorite toys! If you pup is a senior and just loves to "veg out" and needs someone to talk and sit with them, then I am happy to just provide that companionship without any physical activities that might be too much for them. If you would like me to provide some exercise during a stay that is a walk away from your home, I am happy to do so in safe and appropriate weather road and conditions. I love to spend usually around 30-40 mins walking to nearby parks if possible or around local neighborhoods to let your pup sniff around and enjoy the day with me!

Reliable & Compassionate Care
Pet care experience
I’m a dedicated animal lover with years of hands on experience caring for pets. I’ve worked in a veterinary clinic as a kennel attendant/tech assistant and have also provided full time care for dogs with special needs who required extra attention for medical and anxiety related needs. Whether your pet requires a calm, patient presence or lots of activity and engagement, I adjust my care to fit their personality and routine. I’ve been a dog sitter for years and truly enjoy every part of it from walks and playtime to feeding, hygiene, and companionship. My goal is to always make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. If needed, I am able to help with small tasks while you’re away, like bringing in mail and watering plants. I’m happy to be back in Placerville after spending several years away. Having lived in this area for many years, it means a lot to return and care for pets in a community I know and love.
