Hello! I am a mature, experienced animal care professional who responds to your pet care inquiries within minutes to answer any questions & arrange your pet's care.😊 I love animals & think each one is unique, interesting & amazing! I know how important a job it is to care for your precious pets, and I take that responsibility seriously. I provide boarding services for small dogs in my downtown Victoria apartment, and I only take one dog at a time, so your pup will get loving, attentive care and lots of fun walks & playtime in my apartment. I work from home, so your dog will have lots of company. My apartment is very dog-friendly - pets can sit on the couches, they are welcome on the bed, I have a little dog-ramp to help them up if needed, and plenty of toys and plush blankets as well. I have years of experience with all kinds of dog breeds, as well as rescue dogs, anxious dogs, and senior dogs. I am comfortable with special diets or oral medication requirements (no needle injections though). We can have a phone or video conversation within minutes of you reaching out to me, and you can outline any special needs your dogs may have. Clear and prompt communication is very important to me, so I send pet parents daily photos, videos & frequent updates, so you will know what your pet's days look like and can see for yourself how they are doing. I am always available for a call or video chat, prior to as well as during the stay, should you have any questions or concerns. Transparency, integrity, reliability & fun are qualities that guide my Rover business, and I do an amazing job at caring for and adoring your beloved pet(s), and always following your instructions. I have a calm, quiet work-from-home job Monday to Friday. My job allows me lots of free time even during work hours, for play-time, affection & kind words to your little fur-baby, and several outings and walks each day. I am able to provide outings/walks every 2-3 hours or on whatever schedule you recommend. I truly love walking dogs - they’re always so curious & enthusiastic on walks!☺️ If your dog is comfortable in the car, I love to explore new parks or walks with your pup(s). I am always super attentive while dog-walking; I monitor your dog's comfort level, praise and encourage them, and ensure they are having a good fun walk and exploring and sniffing what they want. I have always loved animals, so being able to use Rover to find animal-loving clients like you & adorable pets to care for has been such a gift! I grew up around dogs, cats, birds, newts, hamsters, and guinea pigs. I have also been a dog-mom and bird-mom myself (although I currently do not have any pets), so I know what it's like to leave my animals in the care of others, which is why I am in daily communication with all my clients while their pets are with me. I am happy to reassure you that your pet is in excellent hands & having a great vacation, so you can enjoy your vacation! Caring for animals is the best job & I love every minute of their company - it makes me happy when they are happy! I look forward to providing excellent, customized, loving care for your precious pets!

Kendall is truly the best ❤️ it was the first time I’d been away from my pup for more than a week and it was such a comfort knowing he was so well taken care of. Kendall did so much to make his stay with her fun, loads of different locations for walks and play dates. She also did so much to make him comfortable in her home, moving his bed around to his favourite sunny spots or extra cuddly blankets on the couch. I hope Phil will be able to stay with her again!

Kendall was fantastic with Eddie. He looked so happy on walks and had so much cuddle time. Kendall sent messages with updates and pictures almost daily. It was such a relief to know he was in great hands.
Kendall is so great! She spent the evening with my pets and sent many updates. She is very communicative and kind and my pets seemed comfy with her!
Kendall has taken care of our Duck Toller Red a couple times now. We feel so lucky to have found her! Red loves her - and she is constantly sending us updates on how things are going. We know he’s in good hands and we are so thankful for that. It truly is a vacation for him when he is with her! Lots of cuddles, walks, treats and attention. Thank you Kendall! You are the best!

Schedule
I have alot of time and energy to spend on taking excellent care of your beautiful pet(s). I work Monday-Friday 8am-4pm from my home (or from your home if I am House Sitting). My job luckily allows me much free time during the work day to spend with your pet -- playing fetch down the hallway, hanging out on the couch, watching the world go by from the balcony or watching hummingbirds through the window. I can take your dog out for pee breaks every 2-4 hours as needed, and I have a full hour at lunch for a good long walk. When work is done at 4 pm, it's time for another walk, and maybe a car ride to someplace new! Weekends are wide open, and a great opportunity for longer walks, car rides to new trails or beaches, and some relaxing down-time at home.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is of the utmost importance. I am always aware that I am taking care of a beloved family member, a precious little animal for whom I am fully responsible. I also consider it important to check in regularly with your pet and make sure their needs are met, and that they are comfortable and relaxed. I always speak kindly to animals, usually with a smile on my face because they're so cute and amazing, and I will make your dog(s) feel adored and cherished every day.
A typical day
Besides walks or playtime in the backyard, I love playing fetch or find-it with dogs, and I am happy to continue any training exercises you are working on, or teach your dog some fun, rewarding sit/stay/come/find it games I’ve learned. Most of all, tons of affection and sweet words for your fur babies, so they are relaxed, happy and reassured.
