Caring for someone else's pet in their home requires attention to detail, respect for their routines, and a genuine love for animals. Here is what that looks like when tending to your pet and their needs: 1. **Understanding the Pet’s Needs**: Before starting, I have a detailed conversation with the pet owner to learn about the pet’s daily routine, dietary needs, exercise requirements, and any specific behaviors or quirks. 2. **Following Instructions**: Adhering strictly to the care instructions provided by the pet owner. This includes feeding schedules, medication administration, and any special care instructions. 3. **Creating a Comfortable Environment**: When possible, I like to do a meet & greet with the pup(s) and their owners to ensure they are comfortable come time for me to start caring for them. Maintaining the pet's usual environment as much as possible. Keeping their sleeping area, toys, and feeding spots in the same locations to minimize stress. 4. **Establishing a Routine**: Sticking to the pet’s normal routine for feeding, walks, and playtime. Consistency helps the pet feel secure and comfortable while their owner is away. 5. **Providing Plenty of Attention**: Spending quality time with the pet to ensure they feel loved and cared for while their owner is away. Engaging in play, training, or simply cuddling to keep them happy. Of course happy to incorporate things you as a pet owner may request as needed. 6. **Staying Active**: Ensuring the pet gets enough physical activity according to their needs. Taking them for walks, playing fetch, or engaging in other activities they enjoy. 7. **Maintaining Cleanliness**: Keeping the pet's living area clean. This includes regularly changing their water, cleaning up after them, and maintaining their litter box if applicable. 8. **Monitoring Health and Behavior**: Keeping an eye on the pet's health and behavior. Such as changes in appetite, appearance, mannerisms or energy levels, notifying the owner immediately. 9. **Emergency Contacts**: I make sure to have a list of emergency contacts, including the owner's vet and an alternate emergency contact. Knowing what to do in case of an emergency. 10. **Providing Updates**: Regularly updating the pet owner on how their pet is doing. Sending photos or messages to reassure them and keep them connected to their furry baby. These guidelines I have can ensure you that your pet will receive the best care possible while you’re away. Fostering trust and peace of mind for both you and your pet. 😇🫶🏼

Kendall is fantastic. After cycling through multiple sitters we finally found her and she made the whole process infinitely easier. I never had to worry about whether my dogs were well taken care of, and she's incredibly communicative should any needs arise. On top of that, the dogs love her and even look for her on weekends, and if that doesn't speak highly of her skill with animals I don't know what can. I couldn't recommend Kendall highly enough.
Kendall is great with dogs! She has been a dog sitter for us for years. Our pup absolutely loves her - when Kendall comes over Freckles goes right to her and will sit in her lap and snuggle. One time our neighbor accidentally let Freckles get out and Kendall came to the rescue and found her the next street over. I would highly recommend Kendall to anyone who wants an absolute dog lover to care for your pet. Just be warned that Kendall will get attached to your pet! :)

As a full-time worker with flexible hours, I seamlessly integrate pet care into my daily routine through thoughtful planning and prioritization. Here is what a day in our household looks like with my 3 pups to give you an idea: **Morning Ritual**: Each morning, I dedicate the first 30 minutes to an hour to my pups. This includes a refreshing walk or playtime, allowing them to stretch their legs and get some exercise while I enjoy the fresh air and bond with them. **Flexible Breaks**: With my flexible work schedule, I can take advantage of breaks throughout the day. During these breaks, I make it a point to check in on my pups, giving them attention, a quick play session, or just some affectionate cuddles. **Midday Engagement**: When my work allows, I set aside time around lunchtime to either take my dogs out for another short walk or engage them in interactive play. This keeps them stimulated and helps break up their day. **Evening Quality Time**: After work, I prioritize quality time with my pups. Whether it’s a longer walk, a visit to the dog park, or training sessions, I make sure they get ample exercise and mental stimulation, reinforcing our bond. **Weekend Adventures**: On weekends, I plan longer outings or fun activities, such as hiking, going to the lake, adventures to the ballpark or visiting pet-friendly places. This not only provides them with physical exercise but also allows us to work on social interaction while exploring and enjoying our time together. By incorporating these strategies, I ensure that my pets are happy, healthy, and well-cared for, all while successfully balancing my work commitments. Now, this is merely just an example of my every day with my own boys, When imagining what you may or may not need when it comes to caring for your pet, customizing yours and your pet’s needs is always essential.
