Pet care experience
Experienced dog caregiver +trainer
What is DOG spelled backwards? I believe dogs to be special beings who bring joy, companionship, and help us to feel more alive. I've helped raise and care for animals for 20 years. I've helped train all of our family dogs starting with Sunny, our Golden. Since then I have worked for two dog care providers, including my own business. I've trained dogs for both Emotional Support and Service. My dog Daisy was a Rainbows Therapy Certified, a Canine Good Citizen, and is my personal ESA. It is my belief that animals, especially dogs, have the unique ability to help us heal emotionally and physically. I recently closed my business, which is why I am back on Rover. If you need more recent reviews or references, I can send them upon request. As caregivers it is our responsibility to ensure not only physical health of our animal (s) and to foster their psychological well-being, as well. In addition to this business, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and provide therapy for children and adults, as well as emotional support to animals using somatic experience and music therapy. I also volunteer for CACC, playing music for shelter dogs and cats.

Ken was great with my French bulldog,Nino! I will definitely use him again next time I’m in town! He kept me updated throughout Ninos stay with pictures too! He had a great time!

Truly the best! Ken has been working with my high energy, rambunctious pitbull mix every week for walks. He is so patient with our baby, and treats him like family. He even spends a little extra time with Kida after his walks to play with him! From the first moment I met Ken, I could tell that he is very passionate with what he does and has a lot of experience working with all sorts of dogs. He is also great with communication and gives me pictures/videos/updates after each walk. Kida blessed to have a friend like Ken around!

Ken is great with dogs, trustworthy and communicated well while we were away. We will definitely use him again!

I found Ken on Rover when my regular sitter/walker was booked. I suggested a meet and greet, and he invited us (me and my two pooches) over. Ken has Daisy, a beautiful lab and shepherd mix. She sounded ferocious at the gate, but welcomed the dogs in once the gate was open and things went terrific from there. He has a large fenced in yard that my dogs seemed to love. His home is pet friendly. He welcomed my pups on the couch and on the bed, which is the way they live at home. Ken had small training treats and I left treats for all three dogs, too. They seemed happy when we returned: not super anxious like they are sometimes upon our return.

We were very happy to have Ken take care of our husky for a week, we could see that she was very well taken care of! He sent lots of pictures so that we could see her and where they were. She got to play and exercise lots, would recommend
Ken was absolutely amazing when caring for my 10 month old husky, Pax. It was very difficult for me leaving Pax for a week with a stranger, but as soon as I met Ken, I felt at ease and it was obvious that Pax liked him too. I received daily updates and pictures which was very helpful since I was having a hard time being away from him for the first time for that long. Pax loved a toy that Ken had at his house, and even let Pax take it home with him. Pax still loves that toy and plays with it everyday. I highly recommend Ken to care for your furbabies. If it's just for a simple walk, to boarding several days. I will definitely be using Ken again; he was so kind, patient, and loving. What more can you ask for when it comes to someone taking care of your loved one than that? Thanks Ken!!

Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I do not have a fenced-in yard There are three parks within 2 mi of my house that have fenced-in areas where it is safe for dogs.
A typical day
If it is okay with the owner, I have two dog parks within 5 miles of my house. If you request that your dog does not go to the dog park, I usually take them on two to three walks a day and they get plenty of exercise inside the house as we have plenty of dog toys and treats
