Pet care experience

Welcome to Camp Kelsi!

Let's have some fun! Besides growing up with dogs, I have had the opportunity to work with them in different fields over the last ten years. Volunteering, day cares, boarding facilities, veterinary clinics, and working as a trainer (my full time job) have all been wonderful learning opportunities and exposed me to a lot of different breeds, ages, and temperaments. I am the owner of Long Road Canine Training here in Ashland. Your dog's safety is my number one concern while they are in my care, followed by having a lot of fun and meeting their needs throughout the day. Their days will include exercise, free time in the yard, food puzzles, naps, play time and lots of affection (if they like that). I have lots of dog toys including balls, frisbees, tugs, and a flirt pole. Visiting dogs do sleep in crates at night time**. For boarding please bring with you: Food A chew for the crate 1-2 toys they simply can't live without A blanket / bed for the crate *I have wire and airline style crates as well as bowls so you don't need to pack those unless we discuss otherwise.

We are so happy that Kelsi was able to watch our dog while we travelled all the way to Alaska. We were a little hesitant going so far away, but we were confident leaving her in Kelsi's care. She had our phone numbers, our vet's name and number along with our Aunt's phone number in Ohio just in case. Kelsi sent us lots of pictures and updates. It looked like Bailey had a wonderful time and it eased our fears of being so far away. We highly recommend Kelsi and will be leaving our dog in her care whenever we need her.

Kelsi was great with my mini Australian shepherd. She sent lots of pictures and a video of my dog playing and living her best life.

Doggy Day Care • Jun 26, 2026

This was the first time leaving our 1 1/2 year old dog with a sitter. Kelsi came highly recommended from our daughter as she left her two dogs in Kelsi's care several months ago. We dropped our dog off for a 4 hour meet and greet to see how she would do. Kelsi did a great job with Bailey. She took her on a walk and sent us pictures and updates. We highly recommend Kelsi and plan on making another booking with her again soon.

Doggy Day Care • Mar 01, 2026

Wonderful experience. We were in town for 2 days and needed someone to watch our Sheepdog at the last minute. Kelsi agreed and we couldn't be happier. She took great care of Higgins. She made sure he was comfortable before we left and he really enjoyed playing in the large fenced yard I would highly recommend Kelsi

Kelsi was wonderful and my dog Nash came home happy. She was very communicative and sent frequent updates about my dog. She made sure Nash had everything he needed to be well cared for and asked questions to learn about him ahead of time. Nash will definitely stay with her again.

Safety, trust & environment

Clients that are here will be crated for bedtime, and occasionally during the day when I can't take a dog with me. We have a large fenced in back yard, a treadmill and a park close by for any dogs wanting to go on an adventure. There is also a creek in the back - promise your dog will be bathed before coming home!

Pets

A typical day

We can keep it simple and stay in the house / yard or find a park to go to. We can work on some behaviors, go swimming, play with a ball, frisbee, or whatever your pups favorite toy is! I also keep with me a 26 foot leash, so if your pet isn’t the best off leash, he/she can still get exercise with a fun game. On poor weather days, I do make frozen snacks for the dogs and always have chews on hand :). If you’re dog walks on a treadmill, we can even get a little workout in.

While I don’t have any breed preferences, I would like to know just the basic information about your dog (name, age, gender, spayed/neutered, dog/people aggressive...)
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
