Kelsi can care for

Dogs are already a big part of my daily life. I plan my schedule around dog walks, enrichment, routines, and giving each dog the time and space they need. I only take on pets when I know I can give them calm, focused, reliable care.

Safety, trust & environment
I treat every dog and home with care and respect. In a client’s home, I follow instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and make sure your dog feels safe. On walks, I’m aware of body language, triggers, leash handling, and surroundings so your dog is never rushed or put into situations they cannot handle.
Information Kelsi L. would like to know about your pet
Before walking your dog, I like to know about their personality, triggers, and any training or handling preferences. It’s especially helpful to know how they feel about other dogs, people, traffic, wildlife, new environments, and being handled. The more I know, the safer and more comfortable I can make their care.
A typical day
For most dogs, I love a dog-led walk with plenty of sniffing, exploring, and time to observe the world from a comfortable distance. I can also include enrichment activities, basic training games, or decompression time.

Enrichment-Based Dog Care
Pet care experience
Currently volunteering at Delta Community Animal Shelter, providing their dogs with enrichment, socializing, and play. I have hands-on experience working with dogs that have a wide range of needs. I specialize in supporting reactive dogs with calm, patient, dog-led care that gives them space to feel safe and understood. My approach is enrichment-based and focused on the individual dog in front of me. I pay attention to body language, the environment, distance from triggers, and what each dog needs that day. I believe walks should be more than exercise. They should help dogs sniff, explore, decompress, and feel more settled. I have experience with large dogs, senior dogs, rescue dogs, and dogs who need slower introductions or extra advocacy on walks. I use positive reinforcement and do not use prong collars, choke chains, or e-collars. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, respected, and cared for while giving you peace of mind.
Reviews
Kelsi has been a wonderful help in the care of my dogs while I balance running my small business. It's allowed me more time, and less stress. She made me and my dogs feel comfortable off the bat, and she makes me feel like I have nothing to worry about.
Kelsi has 2 of the sweetest dogs that she has put a lot of work and training time in with. She is also one of the most favourite aunties to my own dog (115lbs and occasionally reactive), who she has also helped work with so that all 3 can have safe and happy playdates together. I trust Kelsi with my dog in every situation, walking, hiking, camping or just a fun cuddly sleepover
Kelsi is absolutely amazing with my dog! She’s incredibly kind and understands dogs very well. She’s also an amazing dog mom to her two large pups & has a ton of experience working with dogs - including at the local shelter. Would recommend her 100%
