*We do not accept bookings that give less than 48 hour notice from the start date. Sorry!* I am a professional dog trainer and breeder of Australian Shepherds. My family and I have moved all over the US and are now back in Washington! I used to run a fully operational boarding facility and board and train program in Island County and have decided to start out slow now that we're settled back in our home state. I have 20 years of experience training dogs- 15 of those years being a paid, licensed and insured professional. I take the utmost care of any animal in my charge. I treat them like family and honor all the requests made by owners to ensure their pet is treated perfectly when they are gone! I understand the love and care people have for their animals and do everything I can to show that same level of care when they are under my watch. I take videos and photos regularly to keep families updated, as well!

Kelsey was very welcoming to my Golden Maci! Maci appeared happy when I picked her up! Kelsey was also very responsive, and I appreciated that!

This was our puppy's first time with Kelsey - we're so glad we found her on Rover. Kelsey, her husband and great children were very welcoming to our new puppy. She is a wonderful dog trainer - we noticed a big difference in our puppy when we brought her home, she was more settled and behaved - thank you for working with her and setting boundaries, it really makes a difference! Kelsey was very professional, kind and acoomodating. We will definitely bring our pup back to Kelsey and highly recommend her!
Dog day care. Kelsey was great at quickly responding to messages before and during the stay. Since the stay was short they didn’t provide regular updates, but were quick to respond when I asked how my dog was doing. My dog came back happy and healthy. Overall I would book with Kelsey again :)
Kelsey is very knowledgeable and experienced, and we felt immediately comfortable and confident leaving our 6 month pup under her care! Next time we go to one of the islands we will definitely rebook with her :)

I am equipped to manage all varieties of dogs from the easiest house guest to dog aggressive cases or complicated medical needs. I tailor my services to each individual dog to give them the best possible care and allow their people to have some freedom and know their dog is well cared for. I make sure to chat with owners and let them know what variety of boarding I offer is most suitable for their dog. I am able to make multiple daily trips to feed, potty and play with client dogs in their homes. My times are very flexible and have often done combo stays- where your dog stays the night with me and I drive it to your home during the day and pick up again in the evening. This works well for senior dogs or puppies who need monitoring over night.
Pets
A typical day
When boarding in our home, they will get to live like they do in their own house. Hanging out, lounging around and playing in our yard. We always monitor dogs outside for safety reasons. Dogs that have aggression issues or require more separation for their own peace are offered safe kenneled situations both indoor and out. Dogs will be crated overnight for their safety. If they are not crate trained, they will use a 5 x 5 kennel in our garage overnight.
