Hi there! My name is Kelsey, nice to meet you! I am 26 years old & have plenty of experience (both professional and nonprofessional) working with dogs of all kinds. Before moving to Maryland I was a dog groomer for three years at the Mutt Hutt in Florida. Additionally, I volunteered at the We Care Wildlife Rehabilitation Center where I cared for various types of animals in different stages of rehabilitation. Since moving to Maryland I have built a small portfolio of dog/cat care services. I am joining Rover to expand said portfolio. I do have a dog of my own named Chase. He is a smaller dog who gets along well with other dogs/cats. He is extremely friendly and loves to play. Chase and I would love to keep your pet company and care for them while you are away. Schedule
I am currently working part-time at a restaurant in the city. Thus, I have many days off that I am looking to fill my time with. With a dog of my own, I know how important it is to ensure that they get plenty of potty breaks, exercise, and quality time being loved. With the exception of Tuesdays, I do not work weekdays. On Tuesdays I work for 5 hours, meaning your pet will not be left alone for long periods of time during the week and will get plenty of love/attention.

Safety, trust & environment
Within my own home, I offer the option of crating or free-roaming if I leave the house. This depends on your recommendations and your pet's comfort. Additionally, when leaving the house I do crate my own dog in a separate room to ensure everyone's safety. I do have a very small fenced-in area in the back of my house, although I would not call it a yard. However, I do like to mention it so you have peace of mind that your pet has an extra barrier between the door and the outside world. When going on walks or outside to play your pet will be leashed at all times. Additionally, I will walk your dog separately from mine so I can give 100% of my attention to your pet. All pets are welcome to be on my furniture! If you have a smaller dog like my own, I do have pet stairs available for them to have access to my bed.
Pets
A typical day
Near my apartment is Wymn Park as well as other smaller grassy parks. Depending on your dog's comfort with others and activity level we may choose to walk to the smaller grassy areas where other dogs are less likely to be. Both are away from streets making it perfect for the dogs who get nervous around noises and cars. For the more active dogs, I own an extended leash making it possible for your pet to run/play while still being safe outside. As far as inside activities go, I own many toys and treat puzzles for them to play with. Chase also loves to play, so your dog will get plenty of play time both inside and outside my home.
